The fact that folks can like a white haired owner of a prostitution racket and a drug dealer but not this cute asian chick, whose only fault was to leave without telling to protect the guy she loved.

We don't know how her father will turn out to be, maybe he is some strong yakuza boss who has connections enough to get rid of MC. If he is powerful enough to locate her back then and tell her to come back, he must be capable enough to tap into her call logs too. She has been scared of her father since she was a child as she has seen him do some dirty work. Maybe she knew MC will try too come with her to meet her father had he knew things back then or they both try to leave for somewhere else and it would only end with him and his loved ones in severe danger so she left without telling anyone anything.
It's been some time since I played this but I believe if Kim really wanted to "protect" MC she wouldn't tell him the real reason of her departure after coming back because it can still cause harm to him in the future if they decide to be together again. I think telling him now is a pretty selfish act just to ease her conscience and get potential closure and it defeats the purpose of not telling him before. Most decent thing would be to let him hate her and move on but it's somehow understandable that she didn't, she's just a human after all but as a LI that started on a losing position she's just losing more points with that.

It was shitty for Kim not to tell the MC she was leaving until the last minute but I've seen far worse girlfriend/ex-girlfriend characters in these kind of games. At least she didn't cheat. Or pretend to love the MC. :HideThePain:

Cheating is definitely worse (in my view, at least). That is one thing I would never, ever forgive.

As I said, Kim did a shitty thing and she probably doesn't deserve another chance with the MC. Not when there are girls like Michelle and Julia in the game.

hang on, Isn't the mc sleeping with his best friend's girlfriend? let those without sin cast the first stone and all that...
In my opinion, the MC in this game is one big ass turdburger. He should feel lucky to have another chance with the cute asian girl, considering he did the one thing worse than the "shitty" thing she did.

Yeah tho I still think the best friend is worst, since the best friend is actively cheating on her later. While what the MC did is shitty at least he didn't cheat he just cucked his best friend. Not that it makes it any better but I think it's just barley slightly better than cheating imo.

sure, that's all true.. But I'm still calling MC the biggest douchebag, because he seems to have a bit of a morally superior strut going. When I was playing through the game I was looking forward to the friend's gf hitting on me, just so I could say no way bitch, I'm never doing that to my bro... Then I found out... I've been doing that to my bro.

yeah I get what you mean but how I see it that was him from before but now he is trying to change to be a better person so at least right now in the present time he doesn't seem as bad but that could easily change. Unless there is something I forgot about lol

That situation is tricky remember it was his girl, best friend didn't know it. MC was just stupid should have just told him that was his girl. But very important But the girl could have ended it and not married him. So the biggest fuck up was her.

Hey, everyone!
The chapter is now 100% written, the majority of the scenes are already in code form and ready to go, I will finish the remaining ones over the weekend and get everything ready to be proofread.
I am crunching in order to finish posing all static renders this month, so then I can only focus on the animations.
While I have a release date in sight, I won’t disclose it yet since I still have the animations and the gallery to finalize. Nonetheless, I am working hard to finish everything in time
Supporters can expect some extra NSFW previews in the upcoming weeks, now that I've finished posing those scenes and they are rendering.
Have a great weekend, everyone

Damn this is really well made. I didn't realise before that if you take Julia on the date but don't kiss her she doesn't interrupt your conversation with Keyla on the bench, so you get to see more of it. I love it when devs give that little extra detail, and the little smile when the MC gives her a little hope for the future.

***The Prelude***

**Disclaimer: **These are the events that precede the events shown in the game's story. They are in chronological order, but with no specific dates.

Early Years / High School Keyla and MC meet during their school days. Their relationship lasts until the ninth grade when Keyla has to leave the country due to her military father's assignment in Okinawa, Japan. The following year, after Keyla’s departure, Zeke joins the MC’s school after moving from a different town. Zeke and MC become very good friends. The Hunnigans, a very kind family who live next door to the MC’s family, are close friends with his parents. They have two daughters, Alessa and Michelle. Alessa never hid her affection for the MC, but he loved Keyla and didn’t want to be with anyone else. Michelle, a cheerful and friendly girl, inexplicably started to distance herself from him over time. After Keyla's departure, the sense of loneliness continues to grow. Over time, him and Alessa become closer, now with no obstacles in their way. Eventually, the MC just gives in to the undeniable connection between them. After spending three years in Japan, Keyla and her family return, but instead of going back to New York City, they move to Buffalo. By the end of their school years, the MC and Zeke begin taking tests and applying to numerous colleges, both nearby and far from home. Zeke and his family leave for his old hometown to spend the holidays. There, Zeke meets a girl with whom their families have friends in common. They start dating. The MC receives acceptance letters from various colleges but decides to enroll in the same one as Zeke, who had only been accepted to one. However, this college is farther from home but proves to be the best option financially.

College Year 1 As spring begins, the MC leaves home to move to the college campus. The prospect of a long-distance relationship with Alessa seems impossible, yet both decide to keep in contact, and whenever they have a chance, they plan to see each other. Around the same time, Zeke moves back to town and joins college. Weeks later, Keyla shows up on the college campus. Zeke introduces her as his girlfriend, whom he has been with for a couple of months now. Months pass, and the MC and Keyla have a relapse at a party. This kickstarts many occasions where they sneak around to make out and have sex. By fall, an exchange student arrives and joins Keyla’s classes. Keyla takes a liking to the girl, who barely speaks English, and brings her into her friend circle. That girl’s name is Da-Som Kim, from Seoul, South Korea. Keyla and the MC keep on sneaking around, but it gets to a point where they can't handle it anymore. Keyla and the MC were each other’s first love, meeting again after all these years rekindled the flame. However, the MC can’t continue cheating on his best friend. Both know they are wrong, and it reaches a point where they have to decide whether to come clean or bury this secret forever. Meanwhile, Keyla tries to break up with Zeke, but he talks his way out of it and convinces her to take a break instead of ending it all. As months pass, Zeke begins to distance himself, keeps on partying hard enjoying his time in college, instead of giving Keyla closure. The MC also meets various people at parties and during classes, one of them is a girl named Kimberly Davis, a gastronomy undergraduate. Kimberly is wild in her way, and it seems she has taken a liking to him. It isn’t long before they start hanging out and enjoying the “college life” together. However, there is nothing serious between them; all they have is a friends-with-benefits type relationship. The MC and Alessa are now barely responding to each other’s messages; their usual long-hours calls no longer happen. By the end of the year, during the holidays, the MC goes back home only to find out that the Hunnigans have moved out. Finding Alessa again is now nearly impossible since no one knows where they moved to.

College Year 2 Da-Som Kim now has classes with the MC, and their friendship starts flourishing. She is a curious and outgoing girl who sparked his curiosity about her. The MC is approached by a man named Dylan Davis, who introduces himself as Kimberly’s father. He asks for the MC’s help in convincing his daughter not to drop out of college. This request catches the MC by surprise; why would her father approach him for such a thing? The MC talks to Kimberly about her father’s request. She opens up about her dream of becoming an actress and remains determined to pursue it despite any efforts to dissuade her. Up until this point, their relationship has been nothing but partying and sex. However, the fact that her father approached him of all people suggests there might be something else she discussed with her parents, there might be more to her than meets the eye. As summer approaches, the MC receives news that his father has been hospitalized. He starts to regularly visit him. However, his treatment doesn’t last long, and by fall, he passes away. Da-Som Kim and Keyla are by his side during this hard time; they even go to his father’s funeral. Zeke drank himself to unconsciousness the night before, so he couldn’t go, but still shows his support for the MC all the same.

College Year 3 Despite the devastating occasion of the MC's father's passing, it brings him and Da-Som Kim much closer. For some reason, Kim decides that she will do all she can to make him feel better. Both start hanging out much more on their own instead of with other friends. Seeing this development, Keyla starts to feel desperate. She had envisioned starting a new life with the MC once they finished college. However, instead of telling him her plans and resolving their issues, she chose to maintain things the way they were and let time pass. But now she has to do something or she will lose him for good. Keyla is determined to end her relationship with Zeke; she is going to tell him the truth. But before she can say anything, Zeke proposes to her. Keyla stands there frozen; she doesn’t love him and wants to say no, but she still cares for him. How can she break a man’s heart at a moment like this? The MC is broken with his father’s death, but Kim has been there for him, and both are happy together. In her mind, Keyla thinks no, but her words say yes. “We will marry as soon as we finish college; we will build a life together,” says Zeke. The news doesn’t come easy for the MC. He is happy for his friend but in shock for such an unexpected bombshell.

College Year 4 Zeke gets an internship at a technology firm downtown and manages to bring the MC along to work with him. However, Zeke doesn’t stay there for long. The MC asks Kim out on a date where they share their first kiss. The year goes by uneventful. It felt like an eternity, but graduation has finally arrived.

Post-College Year Zeke and Keyla get married with no fuss or celebration, just a small meeting with a handful of close friends. Meanwhile, Kim and MC are falling more and more in love. Alessa is still nowhere to be found. Kimberly is still out of town.

A year later... Here is where the events of the game’s Prologue chapter start, two years after they graduated from college.

Thank you for posting this, it answers some of the questions that I have about Keyla. Being in love with the MC but marrying his best friend is quite the leap. I wonder if the MC was at the wedding (best man maybe?) bet that was pretty awkward. I hope we get to see some of that in flashbacks maybe.
I know that the main story is focused on Kim but honestly I find her and the MC's relationship to be one of the least interesting for me. I tend to gravitate more to Keyla, Michelle and Alessa.
