The game jumps between the POV of Jayce and the MC. When we play the game through Jayce's eyes 1st person POV is used (I, me) and he refers to us aka the MC as 'you'. When in MC's eyes 2nd person POV is used (you, your).
For example, the entirety of the prologue is Jayce's POV. We are reading his internal monologue as he refers to himself (I) and what he thinks of you (MC) as his savior complex yandere psyche is developed.
Thus, his storyline sections are linear, there are no options to choose from.

The background's coloring reflects his darker mood, and the art is the visuals to his internal and external change.
When it jumps to MC's POV the background is more pink. Because we are now playing as MC we are able to see Jayce as a sprite, apart from the scenes where it takes two to tango. We are also given options to choose from like how we greet Jayce or what we say at the supermarket.

The star of the game is Jayce, not MC. We are learning the reasoning behind why he does what he does for the MC. It's also why he's the eye candy for the majority of the CGs; we're here to gaze at him, a man, not women. MC is a gray model medium to self insert and get reactions out of him. As is the dev's plan for the choice options to branch Jayce into green flag, red flag, or black flag territory.

I know, well then this game is not for me since after a day at college I just want to read a good and simple story just to pass the time, but for those who like this type of theme maybe you will like this game.

So yeha, not for tone, but I still don't like using my acrademically stucktued arguments and realsy voice/dictionings any forym or socials. Simply, for interest, see much emporewment&rights-type stuff as just the latest dolce&chanel choice for kepitalist hegemoononism and newo-colonialoscopy

anyway, slapping "this isn't what I'm into so it shouldn't exist" comments right across their avatars is fair game indeed. I just sometimes get caught in the cross fire for wanting to discuss stuff i'm not actually into or just make outta curiousitinesses. so yeah rock on!

Edited to add that, even if I'd personally prefer an actual sprite for the MC, I'm not happy if the dev was pressured into creating it, but it was not something she wanted to do.
