But games where the NTR-ish content isn't the main focus, and is "hidden" somewhere towards the middle of the game is far more likely to stir up an angry reaction from people who feel like they've been betrayed, or had player agency taken away from them.

To bring it back to the first part of this post, there's a difference between knowing that your dad is fucking your mom, and being forced to watch your dad fucking your mom.

Right, as I said, the player isn't getting cucked any more than the characters are. If they're identifying with the character, then they feel what the character feels. That's perfectly fine and emphasizes my main point that NTR is defined by character relationships.

Player agency is a bit of a separate point, but I agree with the importance of it and the positive impact it has on a game. Even as someone who enjoys an NTR plot, having the ability and agency to avoid it only serves to make it stronger.

None of that is NTR with one possible exception. NTR has 2 defining aspects:

1. Having women stolen from you.
2. Being humiliated in the process.

So let's look at each situation:

Banging your friends mom while he bangs yours which was agreed to in advance - This is basically wife swapping which means it's swinging. There's no humiliation involved plus at the end of the day your mom still comes home to you so no stealing of women is going on either. In other words it doesn't meet either requirement for NTR.

You dad sleeping with your mom - This kinda depends on if it's your biological dad or step-dad. Bio-dad, no, it's not NTR cause she was his woman first so no stealing is going on and it's unlikely any humiliation is either. Now a step-dad though he could be stealing your mother from you and humiliating you in the process so that could be NTR.

NTR to be born - This is just silly. You can't be NTRed when you don't exist and given most dudes are one and done it would mean the sex ended shortly before you started even based on "pro-life" idiocy. That said while life in the loosest sense of the term begins at conception you can't be considered a person and as such can't be NTRed until you have a brain capable of actual thought which doesn't occur til several months later. Much to the displeasure of "Pro-lifers" a fetus can't be considered a person til at least 20 weeks after conception cause until that point it has zero chance of survival separated from it's host making it effectively a parasite until then and you can't NTR a parasite.

Netori is MC stealing from another. No stealing is happening here so it's not netori.

This is just two dudes mutually sharing moms.

Dang i played this game with ITH translator back in the day. Now all the games i used to play are coming out with official translations. But i dont really feel like playing them again... i wish i could have just waited

Imo NTR is when the love interest of the MC is taken. If the mom was also his love interest in game, then yes it is NTR. If not, then it isn't. If the MC steal an NPC's Love interest, then it's Netori.

This is my stance, others are just variables, whether or not people like that type of content. It's the same as portraying incest with step-family, if it isn't blood-related it isn't incest, even if I like the taboo theme of step families as well.

Man thats a shame. i actually played this game before using textractor and i know the scenes are good.
my only complaint was the censorship

Hmm actually, when it comes to unanimated games, since there is so little number of cgs, you could just upload them to an ia censor removing app and replace old cgs with new ones.

You generally see it from Makotos POV, but this shows both sides of everything, just like the original Doujin has separated chapters focusing on Makoto and Hiros respective POV when interacting with their respective love interest
