(I search f95zone.to for a while before I made this post, using the following query via google: site:f95zone.to harem mc .. Threads were mostly about finding Harem games, rather than discussing the MC of Harem games. This naturally makes me suspect guys who play Harem games may prefer an MC who is a blank slate, and perhaps his personality is defined through his choices? But, if he does make a choice, I believe it's important the MC speaks some dialogue to reflect that choice, thus developing a personality based upon the decision of the player. I'm hoping this thread can provide massive insight into what kind of MC Harem lovers want, to really get an MC that gets the player heavily invested into the game, to ensure an experience with lots of depth. Yes, I've been playing Harem games, but I'd still like feedback from others! Not really talking about the MC of harem games but for me, the MC of Leap of Faith has been the best by far in terms of relationship with characters. Not the usual, I am horny, let's fuck relations. The emotions of the characters feel real, and the story is great. It's actually one of the fee non harem games that I loved a lot.

I going to take one example on common harem MC {Infinite Stratos} (the famous densest blackhole) Orimura Ichika, he is also extremely dense and clueless regarding when girls haurbor romantic feelings for him. Well he has reason to do so i guess?

Sure Ichika made some promises he couldn't possibly keep when he was young, he know they are beautiful but he just can't. Beside, you could wish harem seeking MC all day long to do that or this but in the end it is in the hand of author or creator

So if you want to start a proper and strong bond with harem , i guess be like Zeus?(Not a good example but what he is)
He is a god , he strong and has highly reputation as well as respect amongst pantheon
But he just can't keep it in his pant and just start baby popping with immortal and mortal alike, causing trouble
I think that he need to be more mindful of girl he about to start "relationship" so that no backstabbing or obvious trouble occur.( I'm looking at you, Hera.)

Having chasity mindset could potentially uproot the thought of having harem but it minimize the problem of harem's side effect since less girls equal less problems. Keep it small.

Although unimportant, having personality change toward girl on one on one session is great for the said girl's mood or favour but downside is this can led to misunderstanding unless you let them know this is only for you alone and nothing else .This is not favoritism, it is more of a you and that girl only personal thing .Of course, you must have your main personality you meet with them as a group.

You need in control with harem relationship so that your opinion could be reasoned or be in first so that you can avoid favoritism opinion by the girls. You must reach the conclusion that everyone can accept.

If the girl asks for a unreasonable favor or a act that could upsetting another girl ,then you must reject it so you don't undermining the relationship you trying to build. For a harem to work , the girls must understand each other so they can bond with each other .(that why locking two girls alone in a room is a good choice )(joke)

If you have a harem, you are bound to be target of jealousy by other guys because you alone has many beautiful girls by your side. It's like you living a dream and they don't. Now the best situation you could be is to become incredibly famous or strong so that you could protect you and your harem either by reputation or power. Only then , the mindset would be, "he strong that why he has many girls , i will set him as idol or motive." Which is why king or emperor have concubines.
But you trying to to build a proper strong healthy harem , so i guess you don't need that much, kings needed them for strongest heirs or forced the girls to be in relationship with them or fame or money.

Having flaw or not is not quite a reason (except impotent, why you want to troubles yourself?). If you are flawless then good for you, if you have flaw then protect each other. You scratch mine back, i scratch your mindset can led to stronger bond be built amongst you and your harem. You just forming a community of your own with your harem.

From game perspective, everything i wrote just now might be seem useless because no one want to see such a slightly perfect polyamory or polygamy relationship. The creator or author can do whatever to their character because it is their story , it is their creation. They can do full yandere, they can do blank MC , they do horror porn, they do whatever fuck they want.

From your experience, how often does it occur in Harem anime or adult games, in which a Harem seeking MC is outwardly dense; yet possibly, secretly tactical; 5d chess as you call it.

Let's say the MC is actually dense. How would he overcome this? Would he eventually become self aware of it? Does he learn that he has this problem from an older woman perhaps? How does he identify this flaw?

Is a character like Orimura Ichika the default standard for a good hearted Harem seeking MC?

What you wrote is far from useless and quite valuable.

- If MC has a flaw, Harem comes together to help with flaw, MC does this in return. This sounds like a lot of fun.
- MC will encounter jealously from competing males, naturally leading to conflict. IMO, overcoming such challenges makes the Harem more meaningful, because MC fought for it in some way, either diplomatically, physically (combat), etc. It also shows the MC rising above other men, which immediately gets the attention of women.
- I suspected that a potential key to Harem is having social power of some kind, like you said, from reputation or some other kind of advantage.
- I've always felt the same, that to get that Harem, you're also going to naturally become a role model to other men, the alpha so to speak, they aspire to be like the MC.
- I like how you mentioned the position of a King or God as the end goal, perfect. Zues is a great example. I wonder if it's appealing to play as an MC who starts out like Orimura Ichika , but eventually ends up like Zues? Is that the right way of thinking?
- Having the option to lock the girls in a room if they experience problematic jealously, ahha nice.

You wouldn't happen to know any good Harem anime MC who are sadistic and treat their women like complete and total garbage, yet the women yearn and crave the mental abuse. If that's not your forte, np!

Imagine the Harem MC who does show favoritism to purposely hurt the other girls, but one day shows favoritism to one, then the next day to another, constantly hurting the girls, destroying them mentally. Ultimately using superior sexual technique (with the help of good size dick) to own their bodies, so the girls know you're abusive asshole, but secretly crave and need it both your dicking and verbal abuse.

Then player chooses the MC to become either:
(GOOD) Orimura Ichika --> ZUES
(EVIL) Bad Guy ---> HADES

After that, he needs to be a good blend of horny and polite. Its important to me that the MC not be a dick who wants to abuse women - either physically or emotionally, and that he earns sex and/or the relationship via being cool to everyone. "I'm a 26 year old who's never had a job and failed out of college and have no hobbies except playing video games 16 hours a day, but now <X> happened and I'm going to seduce every woman I see!" Nah, man. You want to give me an everyman, give me an overworked everyman who works two jobs or is working on a postgrad degree or something. You're not gonna convince me that a dude who didn't have the talent or willpower to make fries at McD's is suddenly gonna manage to juggle a dozen women.

You forgot about those just turned 18 year old guy whose father died god knows when and he lusts over his supermodel mother and 2 sisters. Like this is the basic starter pack for every game.

-The women absolutely WANT to be a part of the harem, and have sex with the MC

There are a lot of things about virtues that I like. Most of the women are really hot, but most of them are also too timid and pliable to me. They're more like dolls that the MC is manipulating.

You can try My New Family and A New Home. I am not sure if they even fit in what you said(it has been a while since I played those) but they are great. Especially MNF, it has a lot of content and the writing is amazing.

So you want to play an MC who is a gentleman and an aspiring scholar who values wisdom?

That said often they are fairly protective of the females.

Is this a good or bad thing? Are you saying you want to sit back and order your women to fight, while you just watch? Or do you want to be the only one fighting, or do you want your women to back you up in a fight? Or avoid a fight through diplomacy? While impressing potential women to seduce who are observing how you conduct yourself during a confrontation.

I'd like to see it where you can customize the MC's personality and it the game reflect it.

You wouldn't have time to explain Simon in a few sentences? Like, is he good or evil? A gentleman or asshole? Is he sadistic; does he like mentally or verbally abusing women in a consensual manner? Or does he treat them like princesses, spoiling them, but still in a stoic way where he commands respect?
