For now, the only way to get detention is to show up late to class. Trying to figure out a logic to make it so that the game detects if Zara skips a class and has some form of punishment but as of right now, I am a bit blank on that side but will continue workshopping some solutions.

there are some good you tube tutorials on death counters and game logic for twine , you can use the same process for did they attend class yes or no it could total at the end of the day and if you skipped a class it could trigger detention .......simple if statements and a value the counter simply resets each day so if you have 6 classes to attend each gets a value of + 1 if you have less than 6 at the end of the school day it flags you for detention ....... the counter resets to 0 every morning so you wake up at zero ....... could be a simple thing like ..... $school =
and on weekends you give 6 on sat and sun so that it does not trigger on those days since there is no school ......or null it out some other way

it's trivial to cheat with the browser console in sugarcube games, cheats are only needed if the author is really good at hiding stuff.

Use Sugarcube.state.variables to find every variable the game stores.

I have used that before, but ever since Chrome blocked Sugarcube because it's considered a hack, i haven't been able to use it nor have i found an alternative unless the game comes with it not locked behind a paywall.

when you get it imported its pretty simple look for a file called StoryInit that is where the value settings will be
it will usually be on the far left of the grid you are looking for a list that the items are $Money or $Corr etc stc they will always start with a $ sign another trick is looking at the pages where you know those values change ..and simply changing it there ...instead of getting paid 10 dollars ... change it to +1000 dollars etc
if you need it there are you tube tutorials for creators make sure you are looking at Twine / sugar cube ....the set up is a bit different on Harlowe
the StoryInit list will look like this when you open it

as of right now, no. i am first working on world building and random encounters, story will be implemented soon. hopefully you stick around for that

eh, I just edited the .html in notepad++
cheat codes are just a hash check for each effect, and you can edit the line so it doesn't check for any hash whatsover.

the money cheat f.e. checks for a hash like this:
elseif hashStr($answer) == 1706787499

if you just want it to accept some input to activate, change the line to
elseif $answer == 2
so now, once you are in the game cheat UI, you just type 2, and it adds 100$

I've done this with all available cheats, and just numbered them, but you don't have to.
F.e. if you alter the line like this:
elseif $answer == money
it will now activate the money cheat whenever you type money in the cheat UI.
single digit numbers are more convenient for repeated inputs, tho.

You have to do this for each cheat individually, and you can find all cheat codes from line 1643 and below, so edit them to your hearts content.
just an idea, you could give yourself +100 corruption for each activation instead of a meager +10. Up to your preference.

lotta similarities to milkynail's Young Maria (particularly V2, minus all the cooking stuff). some of the class study events (and even order of classes) appear to be quoted verbatim, and the school menu layout and names are identical as well.

i'm curious to see how you're going to better differentiate the two in the future.

yes, Young Maria was a huge inspiration but I always found some things a bit lacking so as the versions go on you will see these differences. Mainly, mine will have actual story with an end in sight, like any open-world game but with quests in it. MilkyNail has been helping me personally and helped me a ton while I was beginning the game and had 0 knowledge

I think the game is really simple at the moment.
You have lot's of corruption and then things happen.
It's the only stat that actually matters.
Outside of school you can essentially do nothing apart from jogging or getting raped in the night.

I don't think there not being a story is a big problem right now.
I think I am missing decisions. There's lot's of non-con stuff, which I don't hate, it's just "well that happens now" and it's completely random.

If I were the dev I'd work on things to do in the house, I mean there isn't even a shower where you could spy on someone or be spied upon.
Afterwards when you can actually do stuff in the house I'd expand it to outside.

Also the whole corruption stuff makes no sense to me.
So the MC get's corrupted and that leads to... her brother and father also being corrupted.
Other games have stats that are character specific so your father doesn't just randomly stick his dick in the MCs mouth just because the MC reads dirty novels and has achieved a specific corruption level.

Other games give you teasing before shit actually goes down which makes a lot of sense.
Hell even porn does that.
