I am runing a super old engine here atm with Wn 8. My quick research on how to open PSD files was kinda unsuccessfull ... Maybe because I can't run many of the softwar/apps to play PSD files with nowdays? My OS is ancient at this point so any suggestions how I could open them?

but a lot of artist use clip studio paint and convert the clip file to psd but the compability of such psds are bad, so still better use clip studio paint to open those psd.
photoshop and clip studio paint are paid software.
by the way try old versions if you can't run them. especially photoshop is bloated.
you want more ram, or maybe a fast and large enough drive for cache.
