#9 Memory Lane

Once you enter the facility, use the doors in the back (which are now unlocked) to enter the facility proper. Enter the room and examine the lever. Use it to lower the water. Make your way to the east side of the room to find another lever. Pull the lever to raise the water back up. From this lever you should see a brown pipe shoot it and lower the water again. A new path is now available to the north of you. This will lead you to another lever. Pull it to raise the water again. This time shoot the nearby blue pipe. You can now make your way to the door in the north west corner.

I haven't found any way.
If I ask Lucy, she tells me I have to shoot the pipe.
I died 5-6 times shooting at the pipes and nothing
Is the mission not complete or what is happening?
These are the pipes you have to shoot when the water is raised. Mine is already done so it may look a little different for you.

man im getting impatient for full / complete release...
That's the problem with the whole Patreon model ya know. I get that this group is generally working on multiple projects, but they get around 5K/month for this game alone, whether they deliver or not.

At this point they've been at it for like 5 years for a basic RPGM game, which is honestly stretching the boundaries.
They ain't the only ones who just make stuff like this a never ending project though. Since, as long as they're making a monthly stipend, why would you want that to end?

Honestly, I'd much prefer these project to finish in a timely manner & follow themselves up with a sequel. Time wise, this could've been Zombie's Retreat 3 already for example.
But I suppose that would mean people might withdraw their support once they start a new game (or even have to re-up if a new Patreon project is started), so you end up in this infinite loop of minor releases.

Well, at least this group/studio has already finished a game before. Unlike some, who will likely still not finish anything, even after decades of 'progress'.

Honestly, the biggest issue with this infinite updates of the same thing is that by the time it ever does get 'completed', it feels so ancient I don't even wanna bother with it anymore (I don't care much for incomplete games).
Especially with 3D engines that's a major issue since the age really shows immediately. 3D engine for the CG of course, not the RPGM gameplay (that's still 2D sprites, even afer all those many years). After all, with those, you ain't got an 'art style' to hide the age behind.
Gameplay too of course. But to a lesser extent, since many modern RPGM games don't offer much more than an older RPGM game, especially if they mostly just stick to the minimum/basics/generics.

The second issue is that after they've put a decade worth of busy work into a game, it tends to get unteneble to even start it.
It also tends to get so bloated that it really overstays its welcome and I just can't be arsed to even finish the game. Ain't the first time I've not finished a game that overstayed its welcome.:eek:
Of course, that's assuming that decade was actually productive to begin with.

Anyway, that rant is kind of not just for this game though. :sneaky:

The gallery room will be in the bathroom on the first floor of the main house. It won't be visible until the second day. Scenes will begin to populate as you unlock them in game.

I have also added a Salvage Bonus list. On the first floor of the house examine the books near the stairs (look for the sparkle). This will provide a list of available characters. When you choose a name it will tell you what salvage bonus you have a chance of getting if you party up with them. This list will not be visible until after the 1st day.

HOW TO INSTALL

1. Extract the contents of the zip.
2. There should find two folders. One called data and the other called img.
3. In the Zombie Retreat 2 game folder you should see a folder called www open that folder.
4. Copy the two mod folders and paste them in the www folder. You should get a message about files with the same name. Replace all the files.
5. That's it the mod should be installed.

After day 1 you should see a crystal and a sparkle downstairs. The crystal will take you to the gallery rooms and the sparkle will tell you what salvage bonus each character has.

Be aware that you will still need to unlock the scenes. As you progress in the game the gallery will populate with the scenes you have seen. The mod will also work with any ported saves.

MAKE SURE THE VERSION OF THE GAME YOU ARE USING MATCHES THAT OF THE MOD.

Gallery mod only works with the official PC release. Compressed versions may cause errors.

No the mod works with the PC release. Unless you are using the compressed version or did not correctly install the mod it should work.

is there any pdf version instead of .txt? ty
Honestly I have been thinking about making a PDF version. But as of right now only the .txt version is available. There is a pdf walkthrough on the itch page but it was last updated as v0.16.

well after years of holding back (I was waiting for a little more content. I dislike projects that get stuck on limbo forever) I tried the sequel. so here is a question from a newbie on this game...
where the hell are the melee weapons?!

zombie apocalypse 101: grab the nearest decent stick or pipe and start whacking until you can improve.
in here you get a gun at the start. and zero melee options to use when you ran out of ammo...
and in the crafting table you can make ammo... but you can't make a simple blunt weapon? o_O

I read some comments about a pipe... but don't tell me that is the only option :p

You can buy the tube in the underground by selling what you collect.
