Not using any mods and it happens when I hit continue. It loads for a few seconds then the error comes up then it loops like that over and over.

That is weird. If you don't mind can you send me your save. I can take a look at what is going on. If you do send it make sure to include the global and config files.

You are using your save files from Zombie Retreat 2 on Zombie Retreat 1. That is why you are getting errors. They are two different games.

I thought this was finished a long time ago, what exactly is new? Is there more content on the way after this?

The is finished but on the discord there have been polls to figure out who the favorite character is across all of Siren's games. Leslie (Zombie Retreat 1) won the first Meredith (Zombie Retreat 2) won the second and Rachel and Jessie (Zombie Retreat 1) tied the most recent. Who ever wins gets a extra scene. This update added Leslie's scene. Meredith's scene should be added in the next update. An eventually we will get another update for Rachel and Jessie.
So in short the game is done. But got a post release update.

Nah, it's a little confusing since we expected ZR1 to be completed (and it is), but Siren's been adding extra content to the older game while continuing on with ZR2. If you're not in the Discord, it's difficult to be kept up-to-date on a game we've assumed is already finished and are instead focused on the next (game).Oh shit I didn't notice that this wasn't ZR2. I cant progress Caroline her story she will only talk about her mechical help. Am I doing something wrong? And yea, I did the power quest. I am also using the cheat version because, I cant open the v1.1.0 . xD

yeah no shitI just hope i can leave bitching, locked-herself-in-the-toilet sorry-excuse-of-survivors to die unlike in Zombie's Life. Because if i meet one more dumb idiot who think she can wait out hell in a booth i sooo wanna be able to leave her there to see how thats gonna work out for her. My main problem with ZL is that its felt like only we needed food an water and those supposedly other survivors locked inside toiletbooth and classrooms didn't seem to mind not having food or water, weren't worried at all that they gonna die with absolute certainty.. and instead we had to break our backs to supply them.. for basically nothing. For a chance to invite a total coward into our home whom we could feed and pamper because she minds whether her bed is comfy of not.
Porn logic is one thing but this crap in survival horror parodies is getting on my nerves.

Ok, can confirm, as best that I can tell by playing, there is still no option to play as a zombie and turn all the women into a roving band of hot zombies to infect and spread delectable corruption. In case anyone else misconstrues a name like 'Zombie's Retreat', you are not a zombie lol Might be an idea for me to make a game like that though... still great art and grats to the dev on completion! Always a good feeling when one finishes a project and I am sure you are proud!
There is a blue and white heart next to my health bar and I can't use my pistol. What am I missing?

You hit the change weapon button. It allows you to rotate between your guns and your healing items.
