I think I'ts fair to say that Gumroad unironically shot this forum in the dick with that coward move. Even If we ignore our own selfish desires, to think they just betrayed thousands of artists who basicaly made their platform as big as It is today was crazy. They were fully aware most artists on their platform worked with NSFW content, yet when credit card mobsters knocked their door they pulled the trigger without a second thought, DESPITE alternatives existing.
There's just no safe place to build a business online today, at any given moment platforms like Patreon, Gumroad or even Youtube will just discard you in total disregard to how much money you have made for them so far.
