As for the story, I don't think there is a better one in any adult game I have tried. The overarching plot may not be the most original thing ever, however the twists, the key moments (whenever the Shade music plays), the characters and their interactions are all fantastic. But don't take this from someone with a Deathpolca profile picture. You can try it out and see if it is your cup of tea. It is literally free.
It's certainly better than 80% of the H-games that try to have a story... and 90% of H-games don't bother to try, so it's in the 98th percentile.

I would recommend checking out Sierra Lee's catalogue. They specialize in games that are technically porn, and usually in a way that the pornographic content is actually crucial to what the story is doing rather than something tacked on to the side, but which subvert not only what you expect from a porn game but what you expect from video games, and possibly storytelling in general.

They hooked me years ago with Ouroboros, but I think that Once Ever After might be the best jumping in point.

I had not heard of Sierra Lee before, despite keeping an eye out for games with good stories. I guess I don't find the art style super appealing. But if the story is good that's more important. Besides, the Demons Roots preview pictures are also not representative of the experience. And I do love RPGM games, so I have added them to the backlog.

Ouroboros is indeed really good; I played it a long time ago (can't play it anymore, it's 32-bit and my computer refuses to play it). It's one of those stories where your character needs to die, and relive and learn a little bit more, and die again, etc.

I've seen a few other stories with that premise or modus operandi, but none that do it as intelligently as this

I second Sierra Lee games being among the better ones.

Just be aware that Desecration of Wings (I think) and Last Sovereign (definitely) were developed/written in "Patreon-style" - meaning a: the game(s - mainly TLS) nowadays are HUGE/LONG and b: an amount was written/developed and published, with mainly early-on patreons/players in mind. Players then had 2 months or more to play with that before the next batch arrived. So the gameplay is often: finding out how to best solve this or that situation, by reloading and replaying several times. And it is mostly (very) well-done for this play-style.
For example me playing TLS while longterm offline, I tried the "Ardford Summit" situation about 6 times (that's >20hours net, being totally convinced that funding the Sanitation Mages (yes. lol) with so much money would give me sth. directly, like access to sewer dungeons (more XP!), to then maybe plunder the war vaults or sth. ... yeah, well, no) and only then, on the 6th replay I accidentally found out how I can have the summit decide things the way I want 100%. This fired me up and had even more replays, but even with 12 or so replays I never found out myself that I could have gotten the Vinario Deeds for even less than those *spoiler* €€ ...

playing Des.of.Wings/TLS in one go ... soon can get tiring, noone can pay that much attention to details all that time, be enthusiastic about "yay!, yet another complicated puzzle/mess of a situation / puzzle-battle/ some-such."

sorry, got carried away TLDR: Do not try to play Sierra Lee games/ TLS in one go* - take (many) breaks and it is good .
If you enjoy reloading-and-replaying-parts-to-get-better-results - then it is even better. else use of a walkthrough may be needed.
Also: TLS has the best orcs ever, those alone make it worth playing/reading.

* (well, Ouroboros is OK to be played in one rush, I think)

Hey not sure why but I can’t extract the files, an error pops up basically instantly. Any possible fixes?

I've been following a guide to get the secret weapon for kalinka, but it hasn't been working. I've been clicking on the 3 posts in the order listed above and it doesn't do anything. I'm on game version 1.02

Just finished this game, was recommended to play it after Black Souls.

It's no Black Souls, but it's quite solid in the storytelling department. Great character interactions and plot with high highs and low lows, really a roller coaster ride. The last recruitable character in particular had a really compelling arc that I'll remember fondly.

Battle system leaves some things to be desired. Turning on skip ultimates barely does anything because it only lets you skip the cut-in, you still have to watch the length animation everytime. The animations aren't bad per se, but they are standard RPGMaker fare and do get repetitive after a while. Enemy actions take so long that when I run into a mob by accident it's faster to just close to game and reopen than to try fleeing.

By the way, is there any dialog / lore reward for getting to the end of Execution Dungeon?

Do you already keep Ctrl pressed to fast-forward combat in RPG maker games? Also enable the option to "remember last command" and then you can quickly dispose of mobs in like 2 seconds by keeping ctrl and z pressed, which will spam the same attacks. I might be remembering the keys wrong though.

Edit: You can also press F5 to go back to the main menu in most RPGM games instead of closing the game and opening it again.

Naje and Diana parts were so sweet.

Not sure. What I know is that if you do NG+ you can access the "dev room" and get information about the game's development and even an "autograph", lol. If you don't wanna bother with NG+, here is a YouTube video:

Does anyone have a save for when you get the option to surrender and wind up in those dungeons? That's about how far I made it into the story before I wound up losing that save file and I don't wanna have to wind up trudging through the game to get there again, even on a provided NG+ save file.

lol + welcome to f95
ohh the protagonist look cute
errm, yes, and there are more really cute characters. but the game is not "cute" at all. You've been warned now.

man how many rpgmaker porn gamee exist?
good question - I assume more than 1000 .... (you can search the "games" forums with "engine: rpgm", better combine with "completed", though I forgot how to do that. :| )
There's also "Wolf-rpg" engine, which is similar.

here's some of them:
Rune's Pharmacy - cute character, cute animations, you decide how perverted the game gets, very pretty maps, story not really much.

Not so "cute" character (still sexy, I'd say), but once again you decide how perverted it gets, story: not really much (abominable, actually) but it has its moments; several maps are of oustanding quality, battle is interestingly enhanced + enjoyable : Ariadne

Then there is of course Monster Girl Quest, which is not rpgmaker, but the successor MGQ paradox is - you better play the original first, though. paradox is ridiculously big and sort-of-complex, more than probably anyone ever imagined that such simple engine could hold.
