Would be nice to eventually get some alternate result instead of just a game over. I always prefer alternate threads instead of "you did wrong, go load save".

This is a key event where an evil warlock is trying to possess you through deception, a game over seems completely appropriate.
You can enable the easier mode, in that there is an undo option that will allow you to reconsider your action.
Otherwise consider what you are doing and who it is with a for, as I said, evil warlock!

Update Version 14.8.3
This is a minor update of the game to correct a number of reported bugs and to fix some stopping points or areas where you can get stuck. A couple of very minor feature changes and additions, but nothing that would merit a new play-through. You can load an existing save and see most of the new features almost immediately.
Changes
- Angela can be transformed (BE), thanks to Shadowhunter9
- a small event that can happen when you first encounter Pamela, but will also happen later if you miss it, daytime only
- a small reminder in the early game of the notes in your phone when you first pickup Mr Beasley's paper
- when using the taxi the game WILL NOT prevent you going somewhere without enough money to return, like reality
- there are events at the Mansion and Church allowing you to get back to town if you have no money/mana and do not know the tunnels. Call Mom is a common option, but only available if she is home or at work. Apprentice path Sir Ronald will help and Pamela will help. This is not comprehensive, if you try hard enough you can get trapped at the Mansion in the early game
Fixes/alterations
- it was possible to lose the ability to charm Carol if you failed to charm her at the right moment. If this happens the option to have Kristin visit her opens up
- You could miss the option to have Kristin visit Carol if you were not forceful. In this case a SMS will be received giving another chance
- starting the Conspiracy path you could take a taxi and get stuck. The ghost now freaks out the taxi driver
- some changes to the construction road and hexagrams, and to the 'you are here' icon
- Fixes for the conference and Gabby, the Mayor option could be lost
- some fixes for Miss Logan
There are other fixes but I have lost track of all, nothing is particularly major.
This is an update only, it is not a complete game, you must update an existing game installation (see below). It is compatible with existing save games.
A full version of the game will follow in the near future once any issues are corrected

Some bugs were reported for version 14.8.3, I have updated the links for the update to correct them
where are the save files located? i want to continue from the previous version but i cannot find the save files for them

There are no files as such unless you choose to save to file explicitly. Save games are saved in the browser data, using normally 'localStorage' or possibly cookies. If you have cleared your browser cache/cookies then the saves are likely gone
They are otherwise available across all versions of the game and just use the 'Load game' option and they will be there
i noticed that there is this new scene? in the new version. how do i get this scene with mrs granger?

This is just the repeat sex scene for a male player getting a blowjob
The exact image shown can vary as there are a number of alternatives but the text in the screen shot is the blowjob scene
For me the only down side to this game is the use of photos art work is hard/expensive to make but it's just way better in my opinion.

This is a bug fix update. Story with come with 14.9. You can't just add story quickly.
I feel like the story has been in the same place for a year and they have been adding content to chapter 1 for the lack of a better way to describe it.

Not in this game, as such. There is some of this in the end game but anything after this town seems more appropriate for a sequel, 'A Spell For All 2' or the such.
Even in the game now the town is not conquered, you control the police and town hall, so very close, but aspects of business and the media are not controlled. The people at the TV/Radio station are low level people, no one on the management level. The business sector is untouched largely, part of the reason Carol's wife was created, but not implemented yet.
On the Apprentice path there is still Sir Ronald after all, and on the Conspiracy path Sarah
There is also still the question of Kurndorf, is he actually defeated, the Hellgate and Jessica. These are planned to be resolved in the next(ish) release (as in maybe not the next release depending on writers availability)

With lots of images, but yes you have to understand what you are being told at times to work out where to go next.
long time fan of this game. based on the thread from Hypnopics Collective, it looks like you have been made aware of the bug with catherine in the construction site. when you phone her and she says turn around, you click on the text bubble but nothing happens. you also cannot move her to the location using cheats it looks like.
