I don't know when F95 became a shop for buying adult games. Respectfully when the devs have their commercial patreon pages, I don't know why they come onto this forum and advertise their paid stuff. I understand putting test builds for testing on here, but paid games with 0 access just doesn't make sense.

>They locked the furry taur behind a paywall
>The most exotic and interesting (to me, anyway. I like taurs, sue me) character in this entire unoptimized mess and they locked it behind the paywall

It's over. It has never been more over.

Two Characters are free, for you to test and see if the game is something you would like. Once you tested the Game, you are invited to buy it.
Before I was developing Games myself, I was also, pissed of at Paywalls and blocked content, but now, as someone who is putting in the effort to create games, I completely understand it.
The effort put into the Game, you want it to be worth it. If you don't like the way, Dev's handle their game, you are free, to just like me, instead of expecting Dev's to make the games, you want them too, to make them yourself. I stopped expecting and took it into my own hands. I learned coding by myself and started creating the games, I wanted to play myself. You can too.
Go on Youtube, learn Coding, make the Game, you want and then lets see, if you will just post it for nothing, out into the wild.

Regarding the mess, give them time and you will see, with time, things will be optimized and repaired. It takes time.

The game isn't finished, and you're asking people to RENT an alpha. Of course reasonable people aren't going to reach for their wallet, particularly for a genre of game known to fleece people and bail.

Early Access stuff that asks for money in return for access to new updates sooner is a reasonable funding practice, but blocking off content entirely is a big red flag to many people.

How much are you getting paid to say this? Do you need financial assistance?

I will be a skeleton when this game is finished if the best that 2 years can bring is what's here now and a prefab room

Before I was developing Games myself, I was also, pissed of at Paywalls and blocked content, but now, as someone who is putting in the effort to create games, I promised myself I will never put annoying anti-consumer useless fucking bullshit DRM into my games, that gets cracked in 2 weeks and takes money and time away from developing the game itself.

If its easier to pirate my shit than to buy it then what the point. It's okay to not have money, all I'm asking is buy the thing if you like it, and if you can. Can't buy the thing? Please tell your friends you liked it, maybe they'll drop in a few bucks.
Be friendly, be nice, and people will support you and your game.
I want you to want to support me and the game. I don't want you to have buyer's remorse.

This is why most of the games making the most money over here have no DRMs at all.

And this is a great Philosophy, na na nana... Hakuna matata... Sorry got sidetracked.

Yes, I agree with you. For my games, I have included, a Unlocked Gallery and additional content for Patreon's, while the main game and experience is available for everyone. Also I give away, extra Art and Animations with the Paid version.

I believe, as a Dev, who plans on doing more then one game, it is important that one makes sure, that backers will back you and not just the game. If they invest into you, then, you will have their support on every game you publish.
