Every slow developer have health problems, suffered a family loss, had computer hacked or house damaged in fire / flood / earthquake. Or lives in a conflict zone.

There's a famous uploader here who converts rpgm games to renpy but he's basically gone completely dark since his wife passed. I remember he only recently restarted his patreon at all.

Honestly they can take their time to make contents. But at least write new scenes. CGs and outfits aren't that interesting and are secondary to plot.

funniest part is, this is on the thread for Witch Trainer MOD, the game that is already complete and these additions are just to add something more to an ALREADY COMPLETE GAME. Like id understand this with like Milfy City or whatever abandoned game or something that updates once a year, but not a mod.

He ain`t doing it for free. Just because people pirate games here doesn`t mean the developers aren`t getting paid. Look at Bonestales dev. Gets paid 3 grands + a month for not having done new stuff for years. This dev has 1800 patrons with a minimum tier list of 1 dollar so he makes at least 1800 dollars a month and on average probably 4-5 dollars per patreon, so that`s 7000 to 9000$ per month. Dude gets paid multiple times more for making this game than other people in their full time job.

Actually, the game is released for free on the website. No pirating required. Always has been. The money from the Patreon goes towards commissioning artwork. Given that the tiers above $1 are only interesting to people who want to see WIP art or get the art assests in order to mod the game, the majority of people will just go for the lowest tier.

It's free to anyone who wants it, including me. I don't think I can complain that he's doing it too slow. Maybe some of the people paying can complain but once more, they're doing that of their own free will, not because they have to pay to get the game.

Speaking as someone who literally just wrote a several thousand word harry potter fanfiction in reddit comments on a whim, fuck those guys. Writing is hard. A lot of people do not have the time or energy to write it themselves, which is probably why you lot haven't tried and found out that writing it sucks the enjoyment out of reading it.

the question is, though.. they added girls and then do nothing new with them for idk how long exactly, years on some.. except outfits.. why add a girl when you have literally nothing to write about it?
like with Susan, i'd throw in some ideas for long overdue 'confidence boost' plot, i don't see that be hard.. comes down to coding it, that part i can't do. that's one example. the goal is already outlined in what text goes around her; early on while Tonks is mentioning her first time, and with her first appearance.
if they lack writers, they simply can ask around them communities, in discord and here, for starters.
like this, "hey guys, many ask for content, write us some stories for a scene with this girl!"
and then, "short stories, please, not just one liners with a wish."
i'd assume they will have scenes in a timely manner, enough to sort out what fits and is doable. i mean hell, they have quite long scenes (in game time) in the mirror, contributed ones. something should be doable.
i do know how it sucks to write up a complete start to end full storyline and make it match with requirements. on the other hand, quite a number of people might have enough in mind for a one scene. we're not talkin about a full scale movie script.

The long and short of it is that when the current team took over working on the mod, the cast of girls were already a part of it. So the team was left with the question, 'Do we keep these girls, even if we don't necessarily like them, or do we remove them and start from scratch?' For better or for worse, the decision was made to keep the current cast. If the team had decided to start fresh, a lot of things would be different. For one thing, Astoria wouldn't have been included at all.
You're kind of proving your own point there really. Mirror stories exist, but when's the last time anyone submitted one? The same people who, presumably, have ideas for a quick scene or two should be willing to contribute to the mirror stories, and yet we rarely get any new ones.

true, there aren't new mirros stories.
the thing about them is, i see a difference between those and some single scenes; the mirros stories are quite a bit longer, pretty much complete stories around a idea/theme, start to finish, which takes considerably more effort than one scene. i would surely lose focus over such amount.
if you'd tell me "ok next is this girl and we'd like to go along that line" i might cook up a bunch of small plot-lets (is that even a word), on a take-or-leave base. i'm lucky enough, retired and neither homeless nor starving, means i don't have to do work for a living anymore, which leaves me some hour a day, or two, to think up some snippets. waifu even agreed to proof read.. except she really hates Tonks, idk why.
i'm just not that focused anymore, to come up with something complete, script and code and all that, for the longer stuff.

Those of us willing to write are pretty rare, and those of us who can do it even kind of well are even rarer. Most of the mirror stories were made by the same group of like 4 people.
I would also like for some content to go to Susan or Astoria, but if the devs hate them then they don't want to write for them because even small scenes are a big workload.
