No, this update allows to fully complete 2 investigations even if you mixed them before.

You can, but if you do it also mutes the noises during lewd scenes, which are actually pretty good. If you like the lewd sounds but not the others, that means you have to mute and unmute at the beginning and end of each lewd scene. That's annoying.

Usually it's for marketing reasons, particularly when there's Steam plans. Putting taboo in the title (even though so far there is 0 taboos, and mostly none allowed if it's going on Steam) makes it more clickbaity vs the old title, which just sounded "meh, another vanilla university-setting AVN, and what the hell is a vinovella?", particularly to those that have never heard of Fetish Locator or the dev of it and don't come to F95 to find it.
