I think at this point it's reasonable to assume the game is permanently incomplete. Honestly, even calling it a game isn't really accurate anymore, it's basically just an overly-complicated visual novel now...

If you're talking about "post villains", it happened to me. For me, the solution was to back out of the menu, and then just go to the next night. After that, I went to the villains menu again and I was able to post Ivy anywhere.

Step 1. Ignore the asshole above me.
Step 2. Open the "Terminal" application on your mac. (This can be found easily by using spotlight search).
Step 3. Copy this command, everything in the quotations "chmod -R 777 "
Step 4. Paste that command into your Terminal application, then you want to drag Something Unlimited into the terminal window and paste it right there, and then hit enter.
If you followed these steps you should be able to open the game now.
