We're working on an optional, two shot, side character for our game. This is our first time attempting to render a transgender character. It was actually more challenging than we expected. For those that are interested in such things, check it out. For those that aren't I'll post up the alternate, non-trans character shortly. Cheers!

I haven't posted here in a while. And when I look at some of the renders, I almost feel ashamed to show anything. Namely @blackonis - just wow! @lexx228 - amazing! And @epw14 - awe-inspiring! I have to learn, how do you do that, guys.
And now some of my best (yet barely an average) renders.

Well, that's it. That's the best I can do. BTW, I don't use photoshop, this is purely daz3d.

One day I'll be able to render it all in one..until then :poop: pre-rendered View attachment 185806
May I ask why you process your render in two pass ? I can be wrong, but I don't see too much complexity in your scene setting that justify that choice. Don't take me wrong, I suppose if you go for that solution it is because you render your scene on CPU only... like me. Just for info, all my renders are done on a Microsoft Surface Pro, a windows tablet with 16Gb of memory and a dual core i7 CPU and no nvidia card... a pure shit for 3d rendering... but all my renders are done in one pass... The majority of them take between 2h and 2 days depending mainly on the complexity of the lighting... I guess that a scene like yours can be achieved in around 10 hours on my rig...

Once again, I don't try to insult your work or being arrogant, quite the opposite... I only try to encourage you to have patience, because quality has a price...

I probably worded that wrong.. The only thing I'm rendering is the model itself not the scene(background) It was already rendered from a home design studio:ROFLMAO: I would love to render more complex stuff all in one but I also use my computer for work so I can't bog down it too much.. I plan on upgrading next year so I can:D

at first I saw your signature "French member " and wanted to write - that in Russian it sounds unreal funny, then I drew attention to the signature under my avatar and "now my world will not be the same":ROFLMAO:

Now I better understand your problem... Sorry for the quick jump to conclusion... Mea culpa...

So in that case, you can investigate the usage of matte object, a iray technique to create invisible plane (or other kind of object) that are invisible but act as shadow catcher... I.E.: you can shape a matte object (using primitive like plane) to approximate the cover sheet on the bed but only the shadow will be rendered not the object itself...

I've already used that technique to integrate my model in a HDRI map so it projected shadows on a the steps of a stone stair that was part of the background....

Here is a discussion on the subject on the daz forum : ... and an explanation from the nvidia iray dev blog :

dude, you made my day twice:ROFLMAO:
the word "member" in simple speech is more often used to refer to male genitals
lake Baikal is a place with abnormal weather, in winter the waves freeze in real time (as in your render;)), in summer there can swim only bears and drunken tourists. This is not a water resort with naked girls:ROFLMAO:

Didn’t know for Baikal lake ;)

And it’s the same for « member » (membre in French) in french as in Russian ;)
