It's only a sequel in name. The lore has nothing to do with CoC1
Nuh uh.Check out evergreens dialogue
I dont want to launch this shit to win argument over internet. What exactly she says? 'Oi mate, there are Mareth and demonic corruption ere oi ye'
better yet check the design docs here it specifically says what was originally going to be imported from coc1. I will admit it doesnt have what evergreen says but it shows what they were originally planning.

for those who dont want to read a giant doc heres the connecting exerp

Corruption of Champions II begins in earnest a little over a week after Corruption of Champions, with the tutorial taking place concurrent with the Champion of Ingnam's assault on Lethice's fortress. Realistically, we can expect the end-game to take place several months after CoC's conclusion.
TLDR: Kas is literally fleeing your coc1 champ while you play the coc2 tutorial.

TLDR2: CoC2 is less like a Lion King 2 kind of sequel and more like a lion king 1.5 sequel with a marvel au twist.

Same world diff MCs.An unorthodox use of the "sequal" term but thats not the problem.Fuckers already had holes in the first games story and then made holes inside the holes, its comically tragic

CoC1 is a mess of content and inconsistent lore due to being an amateur's game with lack of quality and content control.

To have a clean start, the sequel takes place in another world, bringing from it the threat of demonkind as presented in the first game.

It's stupid, and hypocritical even, but for years every time I try to start the game I just can't get over Cait being what she is, it just ruins it for me. Going to try again and just leave her at the bar.

While also explaining that some characters are from the old one?
But at the same time claiming that the first game's world didn't exist in this sequel? :KEK: :KEK: :KEK: :KEK:

Let's change that to the current game's description.

CoC2 is a mess of content and inconsistent lore due to being an amateur's game with lack of quality and content control.

And guess what, I'd still play that "amateur's game" as you call it over this piece of shit they call a sequel.

I always thought the options to kill more demons would be nice. First on my list? Jael'yn. Why can't i just get rid of her? let me throw here into the damn dungeon at leat. The game could really use more options for many of it's characters. I know it will never happen though since they're all the writer's precious oc's.

Killing a named character?!
Someone's speaking heresy.

It's that P-word...

there's dialogue references to coc1
kas mentions kiha, the champion, lethice, and the tree goddess
Dialogue references are not the same as actual lore. Kas might be from the world in CoC1, but the lore of CoC2's world is separate from it. Whenever they pump out a dungeon with exposition dumps left and right, it's not about Mareth. You could change Kas coming from a hell dimension and the story and setting wouldn't change.

Key word being "originally".

And still by far the superior game to this mess of rampant fan fiction. Lack of quality control? Are you seriously trying to claim CoC2 has better quality control? Ha! That fucking hilarious. Lets not forget that 'amateur's game' had better combat than this pile ever had.

... man, when I can agree that CoC1's combat was more engaging if only because I wasn't at the whims of the party member's shittastic AI to help kill shit fast enough... CoC 1 was basic, but serviceable. It was solid enough and understood that combat was merely foreplay to the sex that happened after. CoC2 wants to think every scene matters and forgets that by being a sex game, most other content is reduced in importance.
