I'm pretty sure he's not making any money. Which makes sense when you don't release constant updates. In fact, don't give him money till he shows a steady pace of releases, that's just common sense. Still doesn't mean its malicious or he's trying to scam.
In fact, he's still active on his discord so he's not gone. If you're upset just unfollow the thread and move one. If he never releases an update again, oh well, who cares.
He does make money off of this game because there are still contributions via subscribestar - posting tidbits on twitter or discord without any proof of a project is exactly the same scam that F95 saw with the now-abandoned Malise and the Machine by Eromancer
He still has a total of over 100 subscribers to his subscribestar ... at the VERY least he is making over 300 a month - and that is if everyone was the lowest tier subscriber...
He even states so himself on subscribestar:
"I'm making this game to calm myself down, when I'm taking a break from coding On Edge. This means that there's no possible way of telling when I will be able to update. Having that said, making this game requires less time as it is less complex, and it's scene-based so there aren't really any technical updates required (hence why it calms me down).
Like in On Edge, note that the tiers are there to support this game. The reason I made a second page at all was to actually ensure that all support for a game goes to that game only.
But it's important to make it clear before you subscribe, that
On Edge is my first priority.
Having that said, finances will be used for more art regardless."
He is milking money from this abandonware project to fund other projects ....
