Wow, the update is 10GB. That's going to take about half an hour to download, so I guess I've got a bit of time here.
The way I look at this particular situation is informed by my knowledge of many women, and in general I've found that some – not all, but a significant number – aren't upset by a guy having casual sex with another woman (though this obviously can't happen by him cheating on her after they are serious), so long as he doesn't develop strong feelings for her. There is a big difference between the sexes here – men in general react in the opposite way – so I tend to see Elspeth as simply following this general attitude.
And only a few minutes are left in the download...perfect timing.
If it's not worth doing well, it's not worth doing.
We must be playing different games. Valentine is clawing his way back from significant setbacks in his life – both romantic and professional. Romancing Elspeth is actually quite a challenge to not get friendzoned by her. And there's a lot more that flies in the face of a "Gary Stu" moniker.
I don't place any value judgments like "wholesome" or "unwholesome" on the choices people make in a fictional story/game. Simply put: if some paths are damaging to the characterization for you, then play the game the way you would like to, by being exclusive to the LI that you choose.

That's a good point, but it doesn't really apply to this game. Consider the death stare Amrit gives MC the morning after he sleeps with Elspeth, and her not so subtle "we'll talk about this later" statement. Other characters haven't really gotten to the point where this might come up yet, but I expect they will react according to their own characters in generally realistic ways, while still maintaining an enjoyable escapist setting.
That's a deliberate misinterpretation of what I said. As I explained, this game has a very deep and rich narrative, interesting and realistic characters, fun and challenging gameplay, and it's the authentic vision of a genuine storyteller, meaning it doesn't have the "sensitivity" disemboweling that plagues corporate products. That is why it appeals to me quite strongly.

great update, i just dont like the single or two loop lewd animations, they are kinda boring and done like that and the same looks in a few other avns too
With regret, i have to disagree with everything you said.
First of all, fighting is a big part of this game, yet there were none in this update.
Second, we finally have the answer to "Vi's thing" it was presented quite superficially.
Third, this whole episode feels like applying breaks to slow the whole thing down, so it will go for a much much longer. At this pace another three, easy!
I actually liked the animations better than the ones before. I mean, girls were turning much uglier everytime an animation kicked in until now.
This is quite an intriguing story and I can't get enough of it. But IMHO, pt7 was kinda disappointing, for the time it took to come out. Honestly, I would be singing praises if had taken a month, rather than almost four.

Nobody is doing 4k renders and animations in a month, nobody at all.
He just fought last update. MMA fighters don't fight every other day, there's months between matches.

Plus we need to build up the tension between MC and the ex con for their fight. No point having an intro like that and rushing into it.

I had to start over from scratch, again, I only played Elspeth's path, but I liked it, I really liked seeing how much Elspeth loves Valentine, she loves him much more than I expected, and seeing how happy she is with him made me happy too.
Good update, I'm happy, I'm not interested in anyone else, and after seeing Elspeth in this update, I won't even consider doing a gameplay focused on another girl, I would feel very guilty.
If you haven't played it yet, leave Elspeth for last, play the other girls' paths first!
The animations are horrible, but I never liked the animations in this game, I only comment on that because it was mentioned above.
Something to report:
The whole scene of her blinking was with this on the screen, even with her blinking working.
I don't know if the dev usually visits the thread, so someone report it later.
