VN Ren'Py STWA: Unbroken [Book 1 Steam] [STWAdev]

cute this Els dere phase lovebombing Valentine.

It does feel like lovebombing at times, but given how she just blurts out "I love him" at the therapy session – followed by the most beaming smile I've seen Els show – I think it's genuine and not a deliberate deception. She's just in that "head over heels" stage of starting a new relationship where "love madness" makes a person feel like they are on cloud nine.

Just additional information when I open the "log" which I'm guessing is a launch log, it is empty. I don't know if that helps anyone with suggestions on how I can get this running. I looked on Google and couldn't really find anything that helped.

Do other Ren'Py games also have this same problem, or is it just STWA that fails to start? In either case, you should make sure your graphics drivers are up to date, since that can cause this issue

something is preventing game.exe to load, it can be antivirus or microsoft defender.

tell you what, the writing is making me suffer trying to Manwhore in the same playthrough.
I felt a monster fooling around with Vi and Els simultaneously.

Im sure a True Els path without emotional cheating her words would feel much more easy to the ears.
Do you think we get some variants Ending and plot for the player that is 100% faithful? (after pool date to be reasonable)
With her and Other Girls for this same reason. I hope so.

Don't worry about the command line stuff if you're not familiar with it. If you've followed through the other troubleshooting steps I gave (to rule out display drivers and path issues), then it's probably like cxx said and you should rule out your antivirus stopping these games from running.

I'm playing my main save path as Elspeth "exclusive", but the only way I can think to stop the player from feeling shitty would be to put the other LIs into the friendzone early on in the game. Otherwise, turning them down after they've fallen for the MC is very difficult I'm finding.

I'm playing my main save path as Elspeth "exclusive", but the only way I can think to stop the player from feeling shitty would be to put the other LIs into the friendzone early on in the game. Otherwise, turning them down after they've fallen for the MC is very difficult I'm finding.

Friendzone the other LIs is the most difficult thing to do in the game, shoot em down but they keep coming forward again and again.

Some quick thoughts after playing this update.

The dev for this game really knows how to write dialog that sounds natural, but serves a dual purpose, in that it gets the player back up to speed after a long time away from the VN. Kudos on that.

I'm continually amazed at the quality some independent games like this can put out. There were only a couple of small typos that I noticed:

That's it though. Really impressive for so much writing. Overall, the renders, animations, and storytelling were all of a quality that is better than most corporate products.

I love Ines so so much, the whole day they spent together was heartwarming, I don't really know how to explain it better, I just enjoy how STWAdev shows emotions through very little things, like a word or a facial expression, it's not something you see very often in the world of AVN...

It felt like everyone was trying to jump at your dick though, felt weird and rushed for certain characters.

It really did. The LIs have always had a tendency to be pretty forward but it felt a little over the top in this one. Especially with Ines, when exactly did they get so close? She goes from barely being able to show her breast on vacation to hold on while I get completely naked and rub myself all over you oh and by the way I'm totally cool with you cumming all over my face. That part at least felt like the dev may have known he waited entirely to long to progress things with her so he just kind of did. I also thought it was odd that if you are pursuing both of them the MC wakes up with his head in Ines' lap and Vi lying next to them in her underwear and thinks nothing of it?

I don't know what that animation engine is that is being used for these scenes but all I know is that it doesn't look good. The Ines scene was hot... if you ignored the animations. The static renders were fantastic but when the animation started her skin color changed to an odd desaturated color, the lighting changed to this weird uniform sheen, and worst of all her entire model changed. She didn't even look like the same character. It was quite jarring.

I've seen this same engine used in some Chasing Sunsets scenes and it looked terrible in that too. This dev has really improved tremendously with the static renders and Ines has looked absolutely stunning for several updates now. I really think this is one of of those situations where it's probably better for the dev to just stick to using static renders for sex scenes until he's comfortable with making custom animations in Blender using his actual character models. Animations are nice, but IMO they're not critical for a good VN. They're only worth doing if they enhance the scene, not distract from it.

Ines with long hair would have been one of the most gorgeous girl in AVN, I do already find her beautiful with her actual haircut even if I'm not liking it.

It looks like he changes or disables some render settings before he does the animation in DAZ. He also tends to instantly make the characters sweaty or wet, hair included at the very start like they are getting all hot and heavy but I don't think it works. The denoising also looks very high so the skins and whatnot look more doll like. Unless he does the videos in 3delight which could account for a lot of what happens.

I know he was trying to do something different with the animations but I think it changed to much. I think adding more frames to his older style would have been more beneficial. They still looked like the scene albeit pretty stuttery. Like it was encoded at 15 fps or something. That and the newer ones conveniently hide the penetration 98% of the time unless its oral like something from skinamax. The angles and positions really do suck most of the time. The older ones were a lot better in that regard.

her haircut is one of a few things that makes her unique and "french".
i would bet you are one of those fine people liking pineapple on pizzas as well....
