At the moment many quests are incomplete or a bit bugged, yes.
But i don't think it's bad design, just the opposite.
Every decision you make leads to different scenes and content, therefore it feels very natural and interesting.
I played it maybe 7 or 8 times from the beginning on, and i still see new content everytime, thats just amazing!

I KNOW it is, having worked in both creative writing and in Design when I was younger (both employed and freelance).
Sure, if that is what you do - put in the skeleton - that works. The Skeleton is outlining the Plot, the Characters, the mechanics, the set pieces and so on. Ideally you have done this before creating the first scene/day/plotline.
What we have here though (and what I was aiming at) is that at some point you need to go through your work and get it up to the desired quality step by step instead of adding to it. This is even more important in a work that is released as a "work-in-progress" as these games here are.
Getting motivated to do the fine tuning and corrections and other more mundane tasks is the key to being a successful creator.

The skeleton should be a game outline that exists in writing, you then systematically flesh it out by actually creating the game, following the plan. I would hope such a thing exists and that he's following it. The real trap is just making things ups as you go, allowing yourself to add entirely new things constantly that weren't planned for, not realizing you've made too many promises to possibly fulfill on your own in less than ten years.

The skeleton of the game has been around for over 7 years and has been improved since then. What makes the game "take a while" is the fact that the player's choices influence the game's path. I've added very few things, most of the things are there because they need to be.
The game doesn't follow a random path, everything is written and very well written, the problem is that no one, besides me and a few collaborators, knows the real plot of the game. You think it's something simple, about a drug and about having sex with your little sister.
Besides, what does it matter if the game will be finished in 5 or 10 years? (We have games that have been in production for over 8 years and I don't see anyone complaining). For me the important thing is that there are constant updates full of interesting things to do, I'm trying to bring monthly updates (and I've been doing this for over 4 months in a row) and I think I'm doing a good job so far, much better than many developers who have a simple and stupid story.
The story has a very deep themes in them. Its as deep as the ocean, in which your little sister almost drowns, and protagonist/game comments on him grabbing her boobs during rescue, despite the fact that he might lose her forever in that moment.

You think no one is complaining about never released and abandoned projects? Like half of the posts on forum are either "update is so small" or "stop complaining about updates being so small".
You make fun about it, but you can also see it from another point of view:
that way you can bring those themes to people wich would otherwise never get in touch with it.

I can't complain about the size of updates here. If you focus on one special person maybe, but all in all it progresses well in my opinion. The updates are frequent. And it's still a one-man-project. If the dev can successfull hire someone we can hope for more content per update

Make sure that the sister's alcohol level is not above 30, this should allow you to swim with your sister when she's sober and Lindsey will be back on the beach talking to the lifeguard, and after that you can get your sister drunk again.
