I probably shouldn't reply to comments in here, seeing how the game is leaked, but I like to engage with the community from time to time, so I want to reply to a few comments. It's disappointing, yeah, but I used to play leaked games myself before I started Ripples, so I can't be that mad for one of the reasons this game has grown to where it is. So I understand. I just wish it didn't leak so quickly.

But I didn't come in here to talk about the leak. I wanted to reply to a few comments. The first is that I see some people are upset about side girl content. Yes, I added one scene with Tori and Vanessa because it's a party, and what's more party-like than hooking up with random girls? So I figured I would add one scene with random side girl content. It's the same reason I added a drinking game, because that's what happens at a party.

I'm not sure why people think Jenny, Scarlett, and Khloe are not main girls. Jenny is 100% a main girl and one of the most important characters in the game. Making sure her character is fleshed out and her scenes are impactful is important to me. I know there are some people who want to skip all those girls and go straight to Tiffany and Jessica content, but this is a tale of two generations of people. Their side is half of the story. What happens in 1999, especially in episodes 7 and 8 are crucial for the rest of the story. Having the characters fleshed out and progressing their stories is important for what's to come. I can't move on in the story without it. I didn't want to rush this trip to 1999, and people would then complain I'm rushing the story, and I don't care about the game, and I just want to finish it and move on.

I understand your frustration, but don't worry. There will be amazing content with Tiffany and Jessica. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks, MixxQQ. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I keep reading this but I don't know where you guys got that date from. It's hasn't even been 5 years yet. Ripples was first released on July 6, 2020. It will be five years on that date.

I'll add it phone. I forgot.

Thanks MysticPlatypus! I'm glad you enjoy the game. :)
Having an incredible and memorable night with Jenny and the other girls in 1999 is essential to the plot. And it will make whats to come way more impactful.
Jestur,

Thanks for 'stopping by' and offering some insights into the next rev/future revs.

I have not finished playing this rev (taking my time and enjoying the different scenes) but I am enjoying the content with all of the women, including the Tori/Vanessa 3sum.

I think you nailed the party atmosphere and you do make a compelling case for staying in 1999 (not that we get that option) but the younger versions of the Moms are Very competitive with their daughters 20 years later.

Scarlett, in particular, just keeps getting better and better and now you've put Luna front and center on my radar.

zzzzzKnuckleBiting_Meme1.gif

So - another release Very well done ... making the wait for the next rev Even harder.

I'm looking forward to seeing what old 'new' memories spark actions on the part of the women who have aged like fine wine over the 20 years since this party.

Cheers!! :coffee:

I really wonder and hope that we will be able to save the aunt
She is missing and not exactly dead, so she will probably reappear at the right time, when she knows that the version of him who talked to her in the past will be there, so they can continue where they left off.

Maybe her disappearance was premeditated by her and the MC, after all, it is almost certain that the MC is or will become part of a faction of time travelers, not just him, the ninja Darci is too, and now we have Jenny who also knows about time travel, she can help even more than Scarlett's sister.

And I find it hard to believe that her daughter is not the MC's daughter, I even think she wanted to have sex with him to make sure he is the father, after all, she already knows everything and hopes to see him again 20 years in the future.

Just the fact that her daughter also disappeared says a lot.

I love Luna, so I'm trying to understand her life choices.
The funny part is that Luna completely reinforces the stereotype of a girl who is into astrology (or whatever) - they are often very attractive, hot even in the real life.

Now that the author is actively moving away from the daughters being MCs daughters, half the plot doesn't make sense anymore
What? Nooooo

Idk if it's just me but this update felt a bit underwhelming, considering the development time. Girl majority party with limited lewd content also with little to no plot development and extra characters thrown into the mix which we don't necessarily know their plot importance. Previous updates were pretty much dynamic with timeline changes etc. so that may be why. Still a great game and I want to think 0,8 was sorta an interlude episode.

Just finished the update, guess episode 9 will not come out this year. After playing, the update doesn't seem very big for me considering the long development period. Also it felt a little unpleasant that MC can only choose 2 out of 4 after-party activities excluding the Luna scene if already on her path.Anyway, still looking forward to the new version.

I'm pretty sure you can pick all activities. The gallery shows the conditions for each one quite clearly.

Yeah the update was fine but not after 1 year of dev time. I hope it's not the dance animations which took a lot of time... while they are good, they are unnecessary imo, a few stills would have been enough

The thing is it wouldn't be canon, as you don't have to romance her (her route is optional, as every girl I think?). But then who is the father? And who are the fathers of the other girls? Some randoms?

Now that the author is actively moving away from the daughters being MCs daughters, half the plot doesn't make sense anymore. With noone getting creampied, Luna didn't even have sex, it isn't even left ambiguous. No chick is going to remember that one out of town dude they saw at a party and might have had drunken sex with 20 years ago. There is no significant connection between MC and the mothers in present time.
Well to get pregnant you don't have to cream-pie a girl...especially if the dude almost cums, and then changes position to prolong the sex.

Though I'd prefer MC gave Jenny her first cream-pie at the end of chapter 8, considering he just took her cherry. So let's hope there will be morning sex with her in chapter 9. ;)

Regards

Luna is SUCH an amazing character, HOLY SHIT!

Out of all the girls in Ripples, she just shot through all the ranks and conquered the throne all by herself...

Although I thought it was very sad, to see that her nice, bubbly attitude was more of her working attire. But damn, she was so interesting throughout the party... damn damn...

One of my favorites is a certain cosy harem game. I love it. I can't afford to stay subbed to the patreon, but I always 'buy' every update to show my support where I can. They largely did the same thing this latest update to one degree or another. Focused on a character no one particularly cares about, stealing time from the main plot and the girls they've been establishing since day one. And because she's isolated from the others, there's not even any interaction.

On the one hand, I wouldn't mind if it was a completed game. Content is content. But with releases on a lot of these big AVNs now taking 1+ years I can't help but look at deviations and side girls as a drag, knowing that every frame the author has dedicated to them is a frame I lose with the characters I actually care about.

As someone who had never used the skip button in this particular game I found myself skipping through the drawn out scenes with the newish girl, frustrated.

I still love the game, and will anticipate every release, but I'm starting to feel these long release cycles a lot more than I used to.
To me, this is one of the biggest drawbacks to the Patreon system. It encourages devs to draw out stories and send out all kinds of side stories. The result being a large portion of these games don't get completed. Heck the guy that did Stormside abandoned the project and STILL has his patreon up. Still has people giving him money monthly.

While I agree, if people are too stupid to ever check their bank account and see where their money is going....

Yes, that's not the difference. The difference is that they don't get paid before their work is finished.

That said, we are probably in the golden age of AVNs right now, and Patreon is an important factor in this. It's OK to look a gift horse in the mouth, but one shouldn't complain too loudly about the result. Without Patreon the AVN market would probably be significantly smaller, including less of the really good AVNs where no milking is going on, and including less of the AVNs with themes that make them ineligible for Patreon.

Just don't support a Dev if you don't feel it is worth it to you. It's an investment, if you have the money and the patience to wait for a game then better for us who will also get to play it at some point.
I don't really mind that much that a game is taking too long because quality takes time and great stories need time to develop, this one already had some big points in previous chapters, so I don't think it is that bad.

Giulia I believe. It's mentioned in episode 3. Dialogue from Tiffany, when eating Breakfast with her and Darcy

t "I know..."
t "Worst day of my entire life. I think about it every day."
t "And the events that followed a week later just make me sick to my stomach."
t "Little Giulia just vanished without a trace..."
t "And the cops had the nerve to suggest that {i}maybe{/i} she ran away."
t "*sarcastically* Yeah, an eight-year-old girl loses her mother and decides to run away. Bullshit!"
