That's capitalism, if a company doesn't like their name being attached to something they have the right not be involved with it, PayPal isn't alone in this, there's been a lot of problems over the years with credit card companies, payment processors and porn, might be better now I haven't kept up but taboo subjects are still something they'd shy away from even if it doesn't actually involve people. Subscribestar will eventually start changing their policies too if they ever come anywhere near the size of Patreon.

There is no patch for that, it's at the point where it's still in the game. Future versions won't have it, and then a patch will be needed.

Yup. It's a common false positive with RenPy games.

As far as I know, it's a result of using a custom icon for the executable. Since the .exe includes the icon itself, a different icon means a different checksum... and AV programs look for executables that don't match their baseline version.

Especially not for some - admittedly - fringe interests, or interests that can easily be marginalized. Thats the main problem of Porn content (see Tumblr and similar cases) which most certainly is NOT a marginal interest (at least the more vanilla kinds) but will never have a lobby outside some commercial/professional people, because almost nobody likes to out themselves as a consumer (with their REAL persona and to a wider public than just their mates).

You want to change that? As with everything you would have to go the "Organise-Protest-Raise Awareness" route. Then maybe found stuff like collectives and action groups and finally start professional lobbying... good luck with that.
