What in Lu's red hell is this -

I wasn't keeping track of every development. How did this supposed update end up in e-hentai?
Yep some already extract the new cg from the demo/preview that's why they are on e-hentai!
in fact on page 417 GearlessJoe posted the new cg on june 5!

There is no chance this makes it to the originally planned 20 floors, right? I'd give it a 2% chance that still happens. Hell, I would say there is only a 50% chance this makes it to floor 10.

This is starting to feel like a soon to be abandoned game to me. Assuming the devs aren't just actively milking Patreons, I think it's a relatively safe assumption that they are losing interest in the project. If it isn't outright abandoned, I think they will just slap together and "end" to the game just to say it's "finished" a la FFXV.

Thoughts? Agree or disagree?

Agree, they'll probably pull a MixFight and say Floor 7 or 8 is as far as you'll go because you aren't strong enough to beat the full tower and you'll never be.
They love to implement these extreme femdom scenarios at the expense of our enjoyment of the game (like Karen being a busy woman who has no time to play with you), and with Koda's extremely dumb power progression it was always bound to end early, or end in space like TTGL.
That's just the feel I'm getting. Hopefully they've learned their lesson and don't get overambitious on their next project...
...
Who am I kidding?

I have to agree with you, tbh there are lots of game creators creating games more complex and with almost no delays
in Japan they are releasing full RPGM games within 3 months, meanwhile here, they haven't released an ''update'' in 6 months!!!
they either really bad at it, or they have lost interest and barely working at all, and no matter what anyone says they can't make their way out of this one!

give it to a japanese circle and they could finish 20 floors within 6 months
not at the greatest quality but enough to enjoy it and fap to it at least

I don't think they'll just give up on the game. They are working on more complex scripts and systems. Why do all that leg work if they don't utilize it?

Because coding a game is boring and monotonous (or so I've heard). Eventually, it becomes more work that it is worth and creators lose motivation. That's usually the beginning of the end, and ToT seems to be caught in that particular purgatory. They would hardly be the first developers to abandon a really good game because they just got tired of the grind. What's the ratio of finished games to abandoned ones with RPGMaker do you suspect? 1 to 10 maybe? IDK, I'd be shocked if this game sees more than 12 floors, nevermind 20.

The fact that we have not even heard from Bo-Wei after his 50 percent announcement, and the fact that Koda has obviously lied about the "tons of content" about the other ladies, it is safe to say that this game is being abandoned, if it has not already. If I were to guess, the two are either working on a new game and stringing ToT along to keep their subs up, or abandoning it completely.

At this point we have a better chance of taking whats made already and putting it in the hands of someone/People who will complete it. On that note,I personally would fund all of the cg/artwork for the game, weather it be creating it myself or in collaboration with others. I have no experience in the game making process but I have a background of art,its the least I could do,also money lol

The worst part is that I don't think that Bo is up for giving up. I don't know why but I always had a feeling like he really wanted to learn and make the game better and better :D

I wouldn't be so sure, the preview pics were posted sometime ago like Narak8813 said. What puzzles me is it's branded a beta too.
I'm having this weird feeling that instead of Patreon and subsequently here, the whole thing, upon release will appear in dlsite or dmm for $14.99.

Just a feeling. Maybe it's nothing.

There's a lot of underestimation going on. If you wanted to actually compete, you'd need to do one of two things, but before that you have to realize that making a game means you're going to find it really hard to actually enjoy what you created. People don't usually play their own games. I sometimes do but it's never for long and it's usually focusing on whatever mechanics I wasn't directly involved in creating. Anyway, the options:

First option: Use RPGMaker to continue the game from where it is now. You'd need an artist that can do similar art to Bo, which is a stretch. You'd also need people who are either masters of scripting in general or have specific knowledge relating to RPGMaker. At least above Koda unless you want more of the same. After that you would need them to study ToT's existing code because you cannot extend a system without understanding the system. That would take a long time.

Second option: Remake the game in something else. A simplistic engine written purely for this, or renpy, or something else like that. The first part of that would MAYBE be possible for me, but even if it is then you have to remake the actual contents of the game which would take a LONG time. You're looking at thousands in expenses for programming alone

In both cases, using any of the art or writing is going to be asking for copyright smashing. Also in both cases, you'd need people to have written consistency, so a good porn writer. I don't see much of all this coming to fruition.

HOWEVER. Here's what you could do.

1. People who are solid at RPGMaker could try joining ToT and helping. If they need the help, be the help.

2. You could make a new game, actually contribute to the industry instead of sitting on the sidelines. I've got my own plans to do the same. There's no need to make everything about ToT if you know what about it worked and why.

Meh, I personally find its best to just view yourself as the 'god' of this world (since you pretty much are) and while your playing it you are just roleplaying the role of a resident in the reality you created. That way you're still able to view the game as a by-product you created/ helped create while also enjoying the taste of the fruits of your labors.
