Cool. What I'm wishing for, though, is something like good old XML files to fuck with... change the salary curve, the skill caps, rest/happiness rates, subs per fan, travel times, encounter rates... stuff like that.

Awesome!

As far as cheat mode goes, I've got four suggestions:

1) Option to freeze MC energy and happiness at max.
2) Option to recruit major NPC on the first encounter.
3) Option to automatically win any dialog/random check (hiring, fighting paternity case, blackmailers, IRS scam, ect).
4) A simple "max all stats" button for MC and models to rule them all.

working on it slowly. first it's gonna be sprite mods. so basicaly youd copy your stuff into the mods directory, game will scan for pics at the start and include it in the game. mods directory will also include templates so you can see the exact size and position of the sprites.
Sounds good. People will no doubt add in elves, orcs, aliens and furries in no time... and I'm OK with that. But in preparation for that, with the modding thing I'd suggest making sure that there is a way to add new types of fan/sub interests to the list. Heck, even without new sprites I can think of a few - like splitting "preggo" up into scenes vs photographs, right off the top...

And don't forget the clothes. I can wait to see what kind of clothing options that players come up with. Cosplay town, here we come!

LOL, ok... I just had the scene where the MC says he needs to be careful when going to see his drug dealer Cleetus. This wouldn't be a reference to a , would it? And if not, I think it should be. Go ahead and rename him Clyde, even - it would be funny.

There are two ways to shoot scenes: The easy way that pays less and the far more complicated way that pays more. You will begin with the easy way because one cannot open a company, buy a studio and hire a dozen people + gear for $500. So you're in luck.

Go to your home/office (use tab or the building on the map, top right) and go to the staff tab that shows all your models. Now select the hooker. On the very top right of the screen will be a little camera icon that will pop-up with "shoot scene" when you hover over it. Click that. Ta-da!

Now a more detailed explanation: What you're doing is shooting a scene at home (bedroom or office) with whatever crappy cellphone camera or whatever you have laying around. This limits the quality of the scene (and thus it's popularity & income) but requires no extra purchases, actions or crew to perform. It can also be done pretty much any time of day, between 8am and 10pm, and in any location that you've unlocked.

Unlocking locations: There are specialist NPCs that you can hire along the way as extra Personal Assistants. Doing so will give the MC special perks that can't be acquired any other way. If you hire them in a non-porn position they will also give perks to any actual porn models that you hire, as well (but doing so means they won't be doing porn). For example, if you hire the nurse and keep her onboard as a medical advisor then the time models spend in rehab is cut in half and you get STD cure pills for free. There are many others and, IMHO, the non-porn option is always the best one. Anyway, once you hire them then you can free-shoot sex scenes at their place of work. Again, let's say you hired the nurse, so now you can shoot scenes at the hospital.

The hard way: This pays a lot more per scene and generates more popularity, which in turn means more Fans for your business which then translate into more Subscribers once you start your own porn site. However it is also a lot more involved. First you will need to buy a studio. There are two kinds: Photo and Porn (you can have something like 16 porn studios but only 1 photo studio). Then you will need to buy equipment - each studio requires 1 camera and 1 lighting system bought from the mall, and that can easily set you back well over $100K right there for the best stuff. Then you'll need to hire a crew to work it, and that is close a dozen people for a porn studio and around six for the photo studio.

Once you've got all that crap together, however, you can now do professional porn that rakes in big bucks and lots more fans. The catch is that each studio (and model) can only do 1 shoot per day, and they're not instant. When you click on the camera icon in the company screen you're actually queing up a scene that will begin the next day (except on Sundays, as always, because we're Orthodox or something). This is true of both porn and simple photos. So a single studio can only do six shots per week, while a MC who plays their endurance right can do 14+ freeshots at home in the same amount of time. But again, quality. With a max level crew and equipment your videos will have something like three times the quality rating as amateur porn from home.

Also worth noting: Only hookers will go straight to shooting porn. All the other girls you meet elsewhere will require a photo shoot done first in the photo studio. Until then they will not do porn of any kind, period. Of course models have higher stats and fewer mental issues as hookers, which in turns means better quality videos that pay more. The good news is that you can start with just a photo studio - you don't have leap straight into porn studios. Once a model has released a photo scene they can do amateur porn just fine, and you can keep on scheduling them to do more photos to bring in money afterward (note: this doesn't pay much, but it's better than letting your studio sit idle).

The Website: This is your endgame goal. It's a huge investment but also makes absurd cash when done right. Once it's open you can choose between publishing on the web or the website. Scenes published to the website make no money directly, but they keep the fans happy. You'll want one scene per day to keep that up. Meanwhile, the number of Subscribers you get is dependent on how many Fans your company has - and fans are added from the day you open your company, not just when you launch the website. I've found it's best to wait until you at least 50,000 fans before going down the website route, because only a fraction of them become subscribers (roughly 10%, depending on subscriber happiness). Websites make their money off the number of subscribers and, overall, they're pretty easy to please.

So let's say that you've got 50K fans and 5K subscribers @ $10 a month. That's $50K a month and all you need to do is upload whatever cheap, crappy videos you want once per day and you're good. Even just photo shoots will do. Keep that in mind when you've got a Contract model sitting on her butt, because photo shoots have minimal drain on model Happiness (low-effort) so you can probably squeeze a dozen or more per month out of even just one contract model and, being on contract, these cost you nothing extra. A exploit is to contract your ugliest, worst model (because they'll be cheap) and keep on the perpetual photo duty for your website.

Note: A website will need to be upgraded once you hit the invisible ceiling for number of fans. There are 8 levels, and each Webmaster increases the limit by 2, so 4 webmasters = max website. As of this post, the skill level of webmasters has literally no effect on anything in the game, so go ahead and grab all level 1s and don't waste time training them. Dev said this will change in the future, however.

And remember you can keep doing amateur porn at home even while your studios are queued up with a month's worth of photos and porn scenes. A busy porn producer who multitasks is a successful one.

Also it is always worth it to blow the $500 on advertising each and every scene that you publish on the web (not your website). It always pays for itself and it increases the number of fans. In the endgame, fans are what matters most.

Therefore my advice for a new game:
1) Hire a hooker.
2) Work in the bar until you've got $1000 saved up.
3) Open a company.
4) Shoot 1st porn scene.
5) Upload with $500 boost.
6) Profit @ midnight.
7) Upgrade bedroom ASAP.
8) Hire more hookers and a PA assigned to Marketing. Be sure to level them to 10. This pays for itself many times over.
9) Wash, rinse, repeat until you've got about $200K and then start working on your Photo Studio.
10) Buy the best Camera and Lighting. This will set you back about $150K, and the studio another $20K.
11) Keep banging those hookers and cranking out the videos. Watch fanbase grow.
12) Hire staff for studio and start training them. JobSearch at the mall is fine unless you're really dead set on fucking all new hires.
13) With a max level crew and max level gear (PhotoStudio does not cause equipment damage) you can crank out top-quality photos that can make even those street skanks turn a tidy profit just looping photoshoots all week long while you bang away at amateur porn.
14) When you reach 50K fans start hire one webadmin and start your own site. I suggest using contract models/hookers for new material as this doesn't cost extra per shot.
15) Only upgrade website when you feel that you've hit the invisible ceiling. I.E. If you have 100K fans and only 4K subscribers, something is wrong and it's probably your website limit. Website upgrade increase their cost per month, and upgrading beyond what you actually need will only set you back. So you want to be absolutely certain that the upgrade will result in a flood of new subscribers ASAP. At this point you will need a PA assigned to Analytics.
16) Once your website is pulling down $100K a month you can now work on expanding to actual porn studios and shit. For the truly insane you can also hire a PA to schedule new scenes automatically, which is important when you've got a dozen of them running all at once. Now it is time to finish the PA buffet and assign one to Production, so they can do all the work for you. Be sure to customize the "do/don't do" list for your models to fit only the things the have 75%+ Like rating - this minimizes their downtime.
17) Spend rest of game seeing how many bastard children you can sire before it actually start's making a dent in your profit margins.

ProTip: It ain't cheap, but a model on contract can get plastic surgery. Not only does this let you cure them of things like droopy eyes and witch-nose, but it also raises their beauty by 20 points per trip even if you don't change anything. With the nurse on staff to cut their recovery time down to ten days, just a cheapish 2 month contract will let you turn even the grungiest crackwhore into a perfect 100 beauty megababe that will draw in the big bucks.

I didn't see the whole sidebar on the right, I might have some vision problems, or my monitor is too wide. Thanks a ton anyway ^^
