ENOUGH. Make a fucking map that is worth the name and a quest tracker that lets you know what the sweet fucking hell you are doing. How the flying fuck at a rolling donut are you supposed to get orcs or goblins on your side if you don't even know where the FUCKING hell YOU are much less where they are? There's better mapping and fucking quest tracking in god damn Morrowind ffs.
This comment amuses me greatly.
They make a few good points though, minus all the sailor jawin.. A quest tracker, especially, would be exceedingly useful.

I'm totally offended by this post. Morrowind was a great game.

Also, I haven't found it difficult to navigate the map. but maybe I'm biased from prior playthroughs earlier in development. The incremental increases to the map over multiple playthroughs make it easier to know the lay of the land. Coming in cold I could see how it'd be tricky to find the Orciad content, for example.

As someone who started playing this game I would appreciate a way to look around the map and/or zoom out.

But really don't be a dick while asking for features. And in a Pirate site too. Comparing this game to morrowin is hardly fair. Bethesda is a big game studio and had a lot of resources.

On another note is there a way to look at items that I don't have enough gold to buy? I can only right click on items that I can afford to see its stats. Also right clicking on an equiped item throws an exception (only on the paper doll slot, inventory works fine)

I'd also appriciate any tips on which items to buy. I'm leaning towards the cloth stuff since the combat stats are higher by default. But I'm not sure. There also was a DC30 combat check against Andras when he was frustrated.

I'm pretty sure there was no need to go that far when it came to making your statement. Of course in the grand scheme of things, I've seen much worse/insulting statements, but 'Make a fucking map worth the name' is a little unfair from my point of view, they are trying the best they can.

That said, I certainly agree with your sentiment regarding there being a quest tracking system. As to whether it is possible to do this via Renpy, I have absolutely no Idea.

I find that currently it is a figurative pain-in-the-ass trying to find both Mr Beastman-wolfguy and that Elf chick within the same 'game' timeframe. I've only ever achieved it once, and never had any success afterwards.

A way to peruse the map before choosing where to teleport in has been on my mind for a while now (zooming out or bringing the map when in the field would also be helpful), but it's one of things that aren't really essential, so it gets kicked down the road a lot.

At some point, most definitely.

Items are super broken, we're working on redoing them from scratch.

Morrowind as originally released was a great game with decent mapping and terrible quest tracking... since it didn't have quest tracking, you had to try to find relevant entries manually in the journal. Of course, that makes Morrowind as pretty much everyone experiences it now an example of a game gaining perfectly workable quest tracking after release.

Map zoom, the full map in the main menu, and the ability to see stats that are normally hidden are the entire reason I keep turning dev mode on with unren.

It’s also possible, if somewhat difficult (since it frequently crashes the game) to monitor event status in dev mode, which is handy when trying to decide what you need to do next.

I'm pretty sure there is a quest tracker. I remember seeing it.
Or do you want pointer arrows on the map to tell you where to go?

What's the difference between backer version and the one posted here? Or are they the same?
I'm pretty sure that the backer build leaked here, yes. Which is why the best place to legally download the game is our itch.io page....the same website I used to download Sunlight Empire last time I played it...
