There is a bug with calculation for being a High School Valedictorian... it say that General Knowledge and Writing skill modifiers will be added to the check. My GK modifier was +3 and my Writing modifier was +2 so it should add +5 to check, but the game add just +3. Also the modifier for Conscientiousness, Intelligence and Extrovertion is averaged at +2 despite all of them being highest possible.

Also, the game make the check for Valedictorian at the age of 16... and then continue with High School events despite saying you graduated.

Another bug is with applying to Ivy League college... it should add Persuade (+1) and Writing (+2) skill modifiers to the check for a total of +3, but game only add +2

Funny, I would actually expect the opposite. With the fact that C++ and other languages have classes, you can centralise a lot of the tasks through Object Orientated programming. How would Twine be harder than a central single file which requires a few lines to update rather than potentially many multiple references throughout the entirety of twine if not done in a similar manner? Perhaps I am missing something but at best it would be equivalent no?
I do not exacly get it? Are you saying that other porgramming takes less time to revise if you did not planned your work ahead?

This is a twine game, not a C++, phyton or even java so any groundwork can be revised with a bit of effort
The line above suggested that Twine was easier to change / revise that other languages, such as C++. It had nothing to do with planning ahead or not from what I understood from it (As you would have to plan similar amounts in each). I was replying to that, as I do not believe that Twine is necessarily quicker to change.

Do you speak from experience? Like, are you familiar with working with Twine? Because as far as I know, coding in Twine is actually very restrictive and not at all easier to manage and change. That's why if you know some games like Free Cities, they decided to move away from Twine as far as possible, and into pure Javascript.

From what I see, it's the art production that takes too much time. It's nice to have, but unfortunately that doesn't really add content to the game. I mean, I don't mind waiting, but I just worry that dev will burn out knowing the game isn't moving along fast enough and just abandon the game. Just like many other "promising" adult games. Worse still, the dev might work on the game but without any direction at all, just tiny updates dropped occasionally to give the game some heartbeats.

By and large, I am pleased with the changes I have noted in the last few iterations. The new clothing setup in Scotland makes a lot more sense than the old one, where the MC was just given clothing by the program. Now, she has to use what she has in the backpack (she needs more than one top, though). I also realized the relationship between the age you choose for the agent at the start (which is her age when the assignment to Project Neptune will take place) and the number of assignments the MC has before that. She has enough training and (roughly 2-year) assignments to fill in the gap between graduation and assignment to Neptune, but no more.

I did find a few of the "odds calculations" a bit wonky; in one game the MC was trying to change her grade by talking to the professor. All of her skill attributes were averaged, and then a -4 was assigned because she lacked the "persuasion" skill. With that big negative delta, no other modification had any impact: it was a 10% (perfect die roll always succeeds) no matter anything but that persuasion skill.

I am still going to complain about the plan to use one whole development cycle on player-suggested kink vinettes, though. That still doesn't seem to me to be the best use of dev time. But I've made that argument and will just leave it at that.

On the ideas front, it struck me that, if the game is going to try to balance a sort of "satisfied versus neurotic" mechanism as I suggested a little while back, having the weapons dealer guy send those selfies would definitely impact her satisfaction, since a bunch of acutely embarrassing (and em-bare-assing) pictures have now gone into the intel world out of Neptune's direct control. She'd be pretty unhappy about that, given its potential to screw up her career. That was a great scene, though.

I believe that the skills are averaged and then rounded up, rather than any of them applying directly. The only check that adds directly seems to be the -4 penalty for lacking persuasion when a persuasion roll is called for.

That is a possibility but text say that skills modifiers are added to the check. There is no mention of averaging the results, the way it is with previous section where it specifically say that you get an average result of everything involved...

Twine is easy to learn but it was never intent do store and use so many variables at some point you will reach a wall.

I love the changes being made/added. But, sometimes I have to use my limited imagination(ha), especially when the MC has to stop dancing "because she don't want to start sweating". I'd actually like to read about her BO and sweat, when a situation like that calls for it. I know, I'm a freak. But, a super fine woman with sweat dripping off of her is a huge turn on.

To anyone finding bugs in the skill rolls: they all work as designed. All extraversion/neuroticism/etc. things have a range of values of -1;0;1. When the game says averaged, it means it. It goes both for skills and for attributes. And yes, it's not your usual Renpy novel: if you have -4 to a roll, you have -4 to a roll, not a button to "make it work anyways cause porn".

Regarding why it's Twine and not anything else: I think that the dev himself will show up in this thread and explain things as he has a habit of doing, but I suspect that the first very basic versions of the game, back in 2018, were made in Twine for the sake of Twine's relative simplicity for those uninitiated to programming of any sort. And then the game just suddenly found some success and the dev just rolled with it. I strongly suspect that you're dealing with a very novice programmer of a dev here with little support in this regard. Also note that migrating this whole game to some sort of other engine will probably take boatloads of time, which won't really bring the dev closer to Bangkok everyone is so thirsty about, so be careful what you wish.

Clothes in Glasgow are very restricted.
Man, back in v1.4 it was the same set of clothes all the damn time. A single set, you know. If the current thing is restrictive for you, you have very interesting definitions of restrictive. And some more clothes may be on the way in the coming days.

Does anyone have the changelog?
The changelog is in the game itself, on the second screen. :) Also note that the dev will be updating some things in the visuals regard until the official public release (which has mostly happened anyway since the game is here) on the 14th. It won't be too much but maybe some fine little details.

I am still going to complain about the plan to use one whole development cycle on player-suggested kink vinettes, though. That still doesn't seem to me to be the best use of dev time. But I've made that argument and will just leave it at that.
There's a poll on patreon about whether it's gonna be KVs or one of the two updates critically necessary before Bangkok. KVs are losing. Final results on Thursday, I believe.

If the character creation going to be that in depth, or more, might as well have an option to zoom in on the head and see the character naked.
