If you want the story to make sense, don't play the game at all. The whole story is a series of double blinds that ultimately don't matter cause the story digs itself in a hole so deep it literally has a hidden alternative story path to retcon a conclusion in.
That said, the CGs are classic but dated.

Another great Lilith game.
But this reminds me, I've been browsing several sites to look for some CGs of their old stuff and for some reason I can't seem to find them. Like in E-Hentai, I know they have several galleries of Lilith's games of the old but some reason, I can't find much of it.

I've always liked this artist's visual style, but god damn to i detest the genres of shit he does. 
I find it mindly amusing that every single taimanin game starts off with the same intro lol
"Neo tokyo... the hub of darkness run by demons... a group of righteous fighters to fight the chaos... the Taimanins!"

So the game keeps quitting on me everytime I reach the scene after the government official talks to Asagi at the school. I'm using Wine on a Macbook air to play the game. Any clue on what's happening?

Finished the game, gotta say it's very nice imo.
The bad ends didn't drag us too long with the storytelling and few more choices to reach it (one choice - watch scene - bad end).
To be honest this is not really a full sequel to TA3, it's a sequel to one ending in TA3 (yep an alt timeline, and prepare for a surprise) so i think Black Lilith might milk the series for more?
Overall great one, this has all the things you would expect from a Lilith game.
And many thanks to Rance for doing my request, you are the best!

What's the difference between Black Lilith and Anime Lilith? Why is it that TA3 was developed by Anime Lilith but this one by Black Lilith?
