Your save is probably corrupted. I also see a lot of old trait mods. Those definitely will not work with the current version of the game. You have a lot of old mods actually (looking at your Date Modified column), with sliders and whatnot too. I didn't go back enough in the thread to see if you are running a legit version or not, so I don't know what version number you are running. Also, regarding Script mods (.ts4script), I know that those are usually not recommended to put too deep into subfolders. I would recommend starting from a new save (i.e. delete the saves in the "Saves" folder, as well as any WickedWhims/WickedPervsion saves). Then start moving mods a batch at a time, back in and starting the game; see if it loads; try Create a Sim; save; clear cache file; dump more mods in; rinse & repeat...
Im running the latest version and it's not a legitimate copy. I will remove those old traits though cheers, only issue is i started a new save before when something similar happened and i played for a long time till this started happening so it will be extremely hard to see if it works that way. What about going back to a save that works on my current character just before this started happening and playing from there? Do you think i can prevent the corruption by removing the cause on this save?

Cheers for your help by the way.

Edit: I think this save is unsaveable (excuse the pun) so ill take the advice and start a new save, ive purged all mods older than this year and script mods that i didn't use or which i suspect due to age weren't functioning in game which i had alot of, so far the issue hasn't arose but it didn't happen for a while before so all i can do is hope for the best i suppose.

Everyone is free to do as they wish with their games of course, but .

EDIT : relevant section to read = Try install the game NOT to C: drive OR specifically to C: drive

Ideally, nothing should be on your root partition (C:, for Windows) but your OS. This recommendation includes games, especially not in the Program Files folder.
That's how the instructions I used told me to do it. I don't have another drive so I don't have much of a choice. It works for me, so I thought it'd work for them.

Is anyone else having trouble with the red apple career? When I let the game run unpaused it takes at least 30 seconds between queuing an action and having my sim perform it. I know the career is not designed for you to be able to reliably get gold on task completions, it says as much in the documentation, but I don't think this is the way they intended to hinder your task completion rate...

Nowhere else in the game do I have this kind of extreme autonomy/action queuing lag, only in the red apple office. More often than not I end up having to UI Cheat task completions in order to get anything done because my sim just stares at the wall all day. There has to be a mod conflicting with only the red apple stuff, or the red apple stuff is to blame. I love modding games. Troubleshooting conflicting mods is fun to me. I can't get enough of it.

Ah sorry that didn't help, even though this is a different game maybe some of the solutions suggested in these two threads will help you out? It's possible that this problem might not be specific to the game.

My game lags hard, but it's mostly due to the amount of cc I have in my game. I think the furniture is the main culprit but I have so many I can barely open the folder lmao. Lag Simulation fix helps a little but as a crappy hotfix I just made my sim days longer (I think MCCC has this option)

I infrequently get this bug too. I don't know what causes. I don't have that strip club lot, basemental, npcc, or nisa. It can happen when traveling anywhere, not just special venues.

After this bug occurs, I can't load into any sim, not just the one that initially caused it by traveling. Exiting and restarting the game sometimes works. Sometimes I need to recover a save from before I traveled.

I have all the packs. This bug isn't related to the strip club posted above, any of those mods, or restaurant pack.
Had similar happen to me recently where the game keeps taking you back to the Worlds menu when you try to go into Live/bulid mode. I fixed it by closing the game, deleting all the cache files then restarting again. Doing some research it's an old bug that was supposedly fixed years ago. They seem to be related

I figured it out, thanks to the link you've provided.
It was my MSI afterburner, it came bundled with Rivatuner, and Rivatuner was what was causing all my crashes.

anyways thank for your replies, greatly appreciate it.

I've had similar issues in the past, so I use both coolspear's "Quicker Sim Autonomy & Simulation Lag Improvements" ( ) and TURBODRIVER's "Simulation Unclogger" ( ), to prevent sims from standing around waiting to do the stuff I asked them to do. FWIW, the unclogger ocasionally seems to delete a queued action, but overall it seems to do the job pretty well.

With RedAppleNet specifically, I had major issues until I removed NPCC, but now it works beautifully, I my sim no longer has to stay late to get their work done.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that on some lots where there are a lot of sims (e.g. when using Itasan2's Get To College mod), I sometimes need to pause the game for a few seconds to let it catch up with everything that's going on. I need to check if using one of the different versions of coolspear's lag fix has an effect on this or not.

The objects "props" will only be placed is the sofa is used for sex.
Upon loading a lot, we receive a message saying that "An object has been removed" that was the prop being deleted by WW command ("on_load complete","clear_sex_props")) . If you go straight into build buy, there will be no problem because the prop was not yet placed.
The problem is during live mode if an animation plays on a loveseat the object will spawn and stay, until we go to the map and back to the lot.
The best solution for now, that works in Live mode is this command "ww.clear_sex_props" after this all the objects will be deleted and no problems for us, until next time the sofa is used.
I'll probably make a timed script to run the command every sim day or so.
I think I've run into this issue attempting to replace Magic HQ, a locked lot. Attempting to replace the lot gives me an "object cannot be deleted" message. Running ww.clear_sex_props changes the message to "can't find the item". In both cases the replacement aborts. Bulldozing the lot causes application hang.

Removing Wicked Whims solves this. Does anyone know the specific mod causing this if it's not specifically Wicked Whims? I removed Lupo animations but the problem persisted.

Because Magic HQ is a locked lot, I don't know a way to get to editing it except through live mode.

You should consider merging at least some of your CC. I only have about 9 gig of CC, and I was suddenly having an issue where I couldn't open my library without either crashing or freezing. As it turns out, The game has a finite number of file handles it can process. (I'm not exactly sure what that number is, but I had several thousand files that I merged) I noticed if I took a number of files out, and it didn't matter which ones, my freezing issue stopped. Long story short, I sorted and merged my CAS CC, and not only did my load time decrease, but most of my stuttering stopped as well.

Now I can't be certain that this is your problem, but it is something to seriously consider given the amount of CC you have. I have roughly a third of what you have, and I had problems. As I said, I don't think it has anything to do with the actual size of the files, but the number of them. Just something for you to consider.

Inteesting... I also use MSI Afterburner and have never had an issue with it playing Sims 4. I've used it for several years, and still use it.

I tried Coolspear's mod and it does nothing for this. It's gotta be something related to red apple specifically. I don't use NPCC.

I do the pause thing all the time.
