Looooong update times with minor content is the norm from this developer. He makes a metric shit ton of money from patreon so why bother trying to develop the game quicker?

for me the best update was with roxxy it had everything the story was good had good tasks mini games after that the updates became more like click on this character speak with them then the other day speak with them again until you got to sex the only thing i enjoyed in this update where at the end with tony's wife the other characters where

I have a feeling that people do not understand that developers try only at the beginning of their work. When they already have a lot of patreons, then they always start releasing tiny updates every few months, which do not bring anything special to the game. For example, at Harem Hotel we used to have really big events and a lot of content in each update, but now the developer is not really trying . The same can be said about Corruption and many games. It’s funny, for example, when a game has been developed for a very long time and finally an update comes out, and the only thing that the author added for one of the main characters is a scene where a girl sits on a bench, chatting with you and enters the house, although before that there were really big events (Mythic Manor) . Summertime Saga has been under development for a long time, but since I started playing it, DarkCookie haven’t added a lot of content to it, namely the stories of about 2-3 main characters. Someone will say a lot, but actually 2-3 years have passed since then. He earns almost $ 68,000 a month. Seriously, if I were him, then I would also slowly make a game to make such a huge amount of money. Maybe he has a couple of employees, but I don’t think that he gives them super huge money from the amount.

In my opinion, it's a shame that Darkcookie didn't make the decision to develop the story with Debbie and Jenny during this saga, which became so popular due to the two characters. Basically, he turned his back on the characters who brought him so many supporters. Only one scene if caught in each update, we would now have something much more consistent than new sex scenes with the impregnation of all the characters.

Looooooooooooong update intervals are the norm in 90 percent of the games on this site, the rest have a short update interval and content in each update lasts all of 3 minutes to play through. Difference is that people are willing to donate more for DC since his updates and art are next level quality compared to others, and a metric ton of people seem to resent him for simply being successful.

Did you start a new game or loaded a save ?
And don't forget that he's inserting new content in the game, not simply adding to existing stories. There are lots of continuity issues to address there. DC is not making things easier for himself.

The dating system actually makes a lot of sense in that regard and won't require a revamp. In Roxxy's case for example it's supposed to fit between MC beating Dexter in the "final battle" and all the sex scenes which follow. So instead of jumping to sex right away, you'd start to date her, go on dates, collect points, unlock scenes like HJs, BJs, etc. and then you'd get the current sex scenes and you'd be able to invite her to prom.

I've got a hunch that once we'll get around to main story update part 2, we'll get new content for the "family", since it's integral to the main story. Going to be a long wait though before we get there :/

For people with save issues: make sure you load a save from the MC's bedroom. I played through the whole update without issue one, loading a save from the previous update. Except obviously Debbie and Diane progress resetting because of the new content, but other than that, completely glitch and bug free so far.

When it comes to new scenes that's quite unlikely, sadly. DC said yesterday that he wants Debbie's sexual content seperate from the main story. I'd personally guess they'll add strong connections once she gets her own, finale update. In that case she'd probably react differently depending on MC's progress in her own story.

Ok :O I just automatically assumed that her content would've been linked with the main story. Though with new characters being introduced in the story, it's probably better to have a separate update for Debbie.

Seem to work for me so far. Not one bug or glitch, and played through the new content loading a save from the previous update. I just make sure I save in the MC's room, and load that save in the new update.

I guess quite a few people did, hence there were many complaints and I'm sure there will be even more next update. I'm personally kind of torn. On one hand I think it's good that she'll get her own, individual branch which won't be connected to MC's dad, Tony, Maria, etc. on the other hand it would certainly have been a good fit.
The next update will indeed be about the bank teller, the daughter of the mafia boss and Iwanka and Melonia Rump.
