Happy Birthday boo! :giggle: That's so sweet of you to share your birthday gifts with us. My vote is always Pinkbox Anye because she's the worst of the worst when it comes to paywalls, but her shit is good. Otherwise sims41ife. I don't see a lot of people posting build/buy on here so it would be nice to see more of that. Anyway i'm sure whatever you choose will be great, enjoy your day love!:BootyTime:

does anyone have this?
Yes please also these ones:

And still looking for a pack with all Ebonix from October till today :)

if the list doesn't show anything. it's mainly because you have all dlc installed and your game is up to date (based on updater)

it's normal.

if you game is not upto date or if you miss and dlc, you should have a pop up telling it, and then you choose wich dlc you want to instal (or update the game by checking "update")

honestly, if you use the updater. Then you are at the last possible update from it (wich is usually the last one availaable , and the dude keep it pretty updated wich is something i love aliots :D)

technically you can't run the updater and end up with a game that miss an update. you can enven choose to instal only the update without the dlcs. so if there is no dlc to check, then it mean you have all of them.

normally (not sure) you can see it in your game itself, there should be all the dlcs icons. if one is half visible , theny ou miss it.

i never had troubles with the updater on my side :/ can't say for everybody.

ps: dang my english goes beserk XD
Thanks now is all clear million thanks for the explication :D !!

so what do you guys more or less expect from ts5? there's some rumors its going to be "subscription based"(?!?) according to twitter.

I am not going to purchase it if and when it gets released. somewhat because I feel there's no real effort put into ts4 so I kind of expect something rushed or a poor mans version of ts3 with better graphics, which wouldn't be bad.. I also feel like they're saving certain features for ts5,, like cars and open world.
If The Sims 5 turns out to be Sims 3 Lite I will be ok with that lol
I hope the next game would be closer to The Sims 3. I know that Maxis creativity is long gone, but man Sims 4 feels so empty and soulless. I think I enjoy more making Sims and houses that actually playing with them and that is so sad. On the other hand, Sims 3 with the open world and customization, everything feels alive. Buggy as hell and horribly optimized, but damn that game is the best Sims experience that I ever had. Even the graphics with the barbie lookin' ass models looks better!

The perfect Sims game for me will be a collection of everything that worked before. Sims 1 creativity, Sims 2 attention to detail, Sims 3 open world and customization and Sims 4... faster loadings I guess? The emotion system isn't that bad too and CAS editing is way more user friendly. EA doesn't need to do anything, just replicate what worked before with better graphics and that is! Then, throw some stuff like height and hair grow to make it look like a new game.

Online is a safe guess too. While that could be cool at first, slowly EA will forget about single player, which has always been the Sims soul. I also can see EA capitalizing on mods and turning it into a store with online protection and shit. If Sims 5 will be the poor man's Second Life I better start loving Sims 4 a little more.

This series deserves a true competitor. If Roller Coaster Tycoon and SimCity were destroyed by Planet Coaster and City Skylines, Is safe to think that something like that can happen to the Sims. And EA better get ready for that.

typical stupid big company doubling down on what killed one franchise already (SimCity) by forcing users to go online - the damage was done and left the door open for City Skylines and the competition never looked back. For Sims to go online, theyll have to offer something that Second Life doesnt aisde from "graphics" and going online will also mean no mods or pay for mods, unless they opt to have a gallery for everyone to grab free stuff from creators which I cant see happening just by the sheer amount of content out that would be generated. I can only imagine how much hd space TSR.com uses for everything that they're hosting, now imagine ALL content. So I can see Sims 5 as history repeating itself which will be great for the end user (us) in the long run and bad for EA. So really, win/win in my books.

they'll have mods. trust me.

they want this game to go online so a) it's harder to pirate (as you have to connect with origin or whatever it's going to be called to play) b) they can justify a monthly subscription to connect to their server and play their game c) they can get around the microtransaction issue by opening a custom content marketplace (like second life) by taking a cut of every purchase (like second life). EA got sued for micro-transactions (it's technically gambling) but if someone else is taking it and using their platform, it's a way to get around that. d) they can track usage and data (what origin does) and sell that info to the highest bidder

the only upside of this is that this patreon bullshit will end and these people will be too busy learning to sell on that platform. the downside? this digital doll game will cost a lot to play and those in countries that can't afford to play get left out. it's quite shitty!

keep in mind, will wright left ea/maxis and went onto found second life and sims 4 was originally supposed to be an online game. i'm sure some of the ideas he had for this franchise were implemented in SL early on and EA (years later) is following suit in the worst possible way.

First happy bday! If you're getting BrazenLotus stuff, could you get the mochi (taro, stawberry), sletzers (blueberry and cranberry), the cowplant farming mod and the tonkatsu new recipe? I wish there was a google worksheet of creators with their policies and prices and we could see if we have any donators for their stuff so newcomers who want to pledge can prioritize.

As for S5, I'm in the minority in that I think S4 is a worthy successor in the franchise. I really like emotions though I wish EA would incorporate the changes from the meaningful stories mod. I didn't get into S3 or S4 before 2 years post release and it'd be the same for S5 if I ever decide to get it. If online play is required, that'll be a no for me. I also like the stylized graphics over ultra realistic so I won't mind if they go with that over something like Cyberpunk. Besides their bread and butter are casual gamers who often only play the sims. Tons of people use their laptops and desktops are declining in popularity so it probably won't be that graphics intensive. I do think there will at least be some sort of online/multiplayer play offered though. That's just where a lot of games are headed nowadays and I think a lot of players would like to visit their friends' sims worlds or maybe a shared online world. I hope us offline only players don't get shafted though.

i read speculation that it's going to be on mobile, console and pc?
if it's like sims freeplay, i wouldn't mind bc that game is actually fun. but i am not spending any more money on this franchise. if it ends up as fortnite sims, count me out.
I love the freeplay towns (thinking of recreating some lots in TS4 tbh) and the houses are out of this world (well I cheat so I can afford the architect homes), the sims graphics could use some polishing but for me it's okay since it reminds me of S1. If the gameplay was more like regular sims (instead of everything being real time), I think it'd be the most popular mobile game for both Apple and Android.
