I thought that the two-week release schedule might be a tough promise to keep. But I think that maybe an average of two weeks between mini-releases is possible. The first update will take longer than the second because new characters will have to be prepared. I could see something like 18 days for the first half of the release and 10 days for the second half as keeping the two-week promise.

However it works out, the quality of the game will make any wait worthwhile.

It's very tricky...

Both VelcroFist and I are loving putting Casey's Fall together, and it truly makes my day to see people are enjoying our Visual Novel. However, ever since I started working on this game, my day-to-day life schedule got really messy. I'm trying to fix this.

I thought making smaller releases over a shorter schedule would solve this issue, but based on these past few weeks I can say that it only made the work more straining.

- selecting and preparing assets, characters and environments is a step that can take some time
- the plot, even though it's being inspired by a complete erotica, needs to be adapted and the alternative paths need to be planned out.
- making the renders involves a lot of back and forth and work getting redone/tweaked
- I like to study DAZ (the render framework we use to make the images), I want to have some time to go over tutorials to get better at it too, but lately I haven't been able to. All my "DAZ time" has been straight up dedicated to make renders for the game.
- fix and improvements over the work from previous releases is also a thing I want to constantly do

Other than the regular 9 to 5 job, I've found that a scary majority of my free-time for these past several weeks has been used working on the game, this schedule is not maintainable. It caused me to pretty much stop doing my other hobbies, which is not ideal.

I trying to find a sweet spot in which people can get enough updates to be engaged, while keeping a good amount of time that isn't work or casey's-fall-related for myself and VelcroFist to do other things.

If we keep a schedule like we've been for these past several weeks, I'm positive I'll burn out soon.

I don't want the project to die.

I hope people reading this won't think I'm being a downer or anything like that, I'm having a pretty positive and hopeful view for the future, I think it's just a matter of adapting and finding a development strategy that works fine and is maintainable.

As I mentioned before, we're learning as we go.

In regards to your comment, Joe, I really like the idea of 2 time frames, the first being larger than the second, that's neat. We might try that out.

I really appreciate your closing words too. Thanks <3

Learn from Scotty :D

James T. Kirk: Scotty, progress report?
Montgomery Scott: Almost done, sir! You'll be fully automated by the time we dock.
James T. Kirk: Your timing is excellent, Mr. Scott. You've fixed the barn door after the horse has come home. How much refit time before we can take her out again?
Montgomery Scott: Eight weeks, sir — [Kirk opens his mouth] — but ye don't have eight weeks, so I'll do it for ye in two.
James T. Kirk: Mr. Scott. Have you always multiplied your repair estimates by a factor of four?
Montgomery Scott: Certainly, sir. How else can I keep my reputation as a miracle worker?
James T. Kirk: [over the intercom] Your reputation is secure, Scotty.

This VN is really fun! You both did a great job, inb4 it blows up

For release timeline, it sounds too fast. Life will eventually force you to cut a corner (scene just doesn't work how you imagined, render fails and you lose 4 days fixing it) and you'll have to put out something you don't like. If you try to go back and fix it later you have even less time before the next update.

But if you finish the release early you can do another pass on it or spend those days building up the next one. A little content buffer is good. The best VNs are worth the wait, quality takes time.

I played the entire game and unlocked every scene. Some feedback:
- Casey looking at the pictures on the phone afterwards integrates third person and POV in a way I haven't seen done before. It really helps drive home to the player what she is doing and works for people who like both views. Impressive!
- Descriptions of her feelings match well with her facial expressions. The adventures you've set up are exciting and interesting.
- I agree that getting her skirt ripped off is way too much, too fast. It seems a bit TOO unbelievable that anyone would do that. If you really want to keep it an accident would work better.
- Add more pressure early. I like the "good ending" but she should need to work harder for it.
- On the other hand, she also needs hope. Either her or Jolene should be working on a solution, even if it gets them in more trouble. There needs to be a feeling of "I just need to play along for a little more time." so they keep going.
- Consider adding a brother to the family. Not for the trope, but because there are a lot of ENF options that open up parents won't work for. If you don't like that, he can still be a believable rescuer for arcs you want to close out. It's a useful character.
- Home delivery flashing and school library scenes would really work well.
- I like Amelia or Jolene for the blackmailer. Jolene would work especially well for the story if she has a believable reason.
- The nudist pledge and indentured parts are very strange. I didn't like them and don't think the VN needs them to work.

Thanks for this VN, it's shaping up to be really great!

unfortunately nope. stranger wants mc's panties she says no. happy ending. At least the MC is happy.
hey people like to complain that the feMCs who go along with the blackmail are so stupid, unrealistic, etc. and yea. they usually are.

so here. you have an option not to go along with it. makes for a REAL short and rather underwhelming adult game tho since the premise IS being blackmailed. :ROFLMAO:

Hey there, everyone.

A few of you have pointed out that some events in the Gallery couldn't be re-watched.
This problem is now fixed.

Note, since v2021-06B uses a different save system, we've added a new feature in the gallery which allows unlocking or resetting all scenes. You can also use the skip function to fast forward through the game quickly so you can re-add saves. If the "skip" button is greyed out for you, in the preferences select "skip unseen text".

I updated the links in my previous post to have this latest update.

I hope you'll enjoy <3

My antivirus have in the last 2 maybe 3 updates, found "CaseysFall.exe" as a suspicious file and quarantine it. I thought it was a false positive as no one else reported it.

It would be hilarious to see Tara go full subby femme when permanently denuded.
Clothes maketh the woman in this case.
In a parallel universe somewhere, Tara's Fall v2021-06 is released.

Casey: I might give your collar back... but the rest of your clothes are mine now.

What's your antivirus? This is the first time I've seen someone reporting this.
I wonder if there's something I can do to stop this false positive.

I use Avast and it often pops up with a warning with each new release. It doesn't quarantine it though, so I just have to allow it to get the game to run. It's a false positive.
