Stop deleting your game folder, then you won't lose your save files.
I don't delete the game folder. If I play one day, I save it.

The next day I go to play a fresh session, save is gone. I played one day during the last update up to Day 32.

Woke up the next morning, only my Day 5 save was there. And yes, I saved it before I shut the game down

Thank you so much for keeping an update schedule! It's so nice to be able to anticipate and look forward to a release at the end of every month.

Are you playing from inside the rar file, if not try moving the game to your desktop as you may have unpacked it in a place where you don't have permissions because the game saves automatically every shift so it's one of these two reasons

Then you stored the game somewhere where you don't have writing permission. Also make sure you don't play from inside the rar file.

I unzip everything to my hard drive, inside a folder, like I do with every other VN and RPGM I play. I pretty much think I know what I'm doing with these games. I've been around computers since Apple II e. This is the only game I have save issues with.

It's like I'm being talked to like a child here.

cold_arctus is a little rough around the edges but he's usually pretty smart...

You aren't creating a new PROFILE somehow, are you? The saves nest under <GameFolder>\profile\<gamename>, so if you rename your character your saves will be 'gone', as they are under the old profile (name).

I'm sorry if you feel offended, but I don't know your level of expertise on a PC as not everyone here as tech savvy as you,
after you start a new game go into the game main folder/Profiles and see if there is a sub folder with your chosen name that has been created if not then it is a permissions issue
Or go into the previous version you have and see if there is just transfer the complete profile folder to the latest version

No offense, but you should see what people ask and post on the discord server. Sometimes you wonder if all of them are mature enough to play these games.

Oh.... Thank you Zen! :sneaky:

As a German I try to show as less emotion as possible, because people shouldn't think we have any.

You're welcome. Just remember you catch more flies with honey...
