How much content is in this game so far? I always hesitate to download any game that has a version number less than ~0.5. I understand that, for some developers, they might use version numbers as just that - version numbers - and not as progress benchmarks that serve to state how much of the game is completed. That's why I'm just hesitant and not "I'll never download this game". But the reason I hesitate is because I don't want to download a game for about an hour of gameplay (and that's an hour of me going slow, reading all the text, viewing the image in detail, etc.). Judging based on the file size, Eternum is about 1/3 the size of Once in a Lifetime (1.6/4.74 ~ 0.337) even though it's only version 0.2. But how much of that size is due to models and rendering size? I mean, I know text doesn't take up a lot of space, so obviously most of the file size comes from the images, but how much story is present already? Are the rendered scenes so big that you really only have 1/5 of the game made but 1/3 the game size? Or are they roughly the same size and there actually is that much more story in the game already because Eternum is going to be bigger than Once in a Lifetime?
Here's a story about Once in a Lifetime: I always thought that game was based on the characters from the comic book Fable. I think it was because the name was similar to the old saying "Once Upon a Time", the title design had a very "fairy tale" look to me, and the rendering reminded me of the Telltale game made that follows...ugh I forget his name...the Big Bad Wolf character. What was his name? Bigsby? I don't know. Anyway, yeah, the character models reminded me of that character, so I just assumed the first game was about fairy tale characters. I don't know if this story would make people laugh, so I didn't introduce it as a funny story. And that's it: post over.
