Just copy and paste your 1.6 save file into 1.5 do the cutscene save the game and copy/paste it into 1.6 again and keep playing the game

Y'know, a thought occurs to me. As excited as I am for the 1.7 update in a week, it introduces a handful of new girls... and as much as I'm looking forward to their content (mostly Turner and Taylor) I'm worried that Laura and Shasha will be pushed back yet again to give the teachers content. BoN has had a trend of giving new girls content before the old ones.
Just saying. If 1.8 doesn't have Laura or Shasha as the focus and has any of the new girls as the focus, I'll be a bit miffed. Really don't want to wait too much longer for the two girls I've been looking forward to most.
...Though I'd also be cool with more Amy or Maria content too. Really wanna see where their storylines go.
As for 1.7 update I wonder if the cars will have any significance at all. Perhaps car sex? And if it's a route split between Beth and Beth's mom, I'd go for the mom. I'm more of a milf man myself, plus Beth's mom is better designed than Beth herself in my opinion.

As far as i know BoN completed almost all the girls with no content at all,the ones he haven't added were Mss.Turner and Beth(correct me if i'm wrong)so if i have to take a guess after the release of 1.7 next month maybe he'll do a poll to voting which girl he should do first Shasha,Amy or Laura or he could add Maria in the poll too or maybe he could just literally starting Shasha/Sarah on 1.8 then keep going with Amy,Laura and Maria's story cause you know she could be pregnant with Mike and maybe that's where we can use the Pregnancy test to blackmail Amy.

There is also the school nurse that now has no content as well thanks to BON changing Sandra's story line. But as I mentioned before if there is a double route with Beth and a Tom route for the beth quest then If I were to guess your reward for betraying Beth to help Tom would be to nail his mom seeing as there was some content showing her nude as well as the pantie quest during jet's mission.
But as you pointed out if there is a choice between Beth and her mother I will most likely do the later as well.

"repeating this scene" does not tell us what scene is repeating. Presumably, you've watched Maria workout the first time by wailing into the living room during the afternoon, and looking at her computer diary just says "Nothing new". THAT is what we call being specific. She was working out while watching TV the first time so you might go watch some TV when things are a little more private. Say, after midnight. Follow this

- The next day you check Maria's laptop diary entry about you and Joanna.
