Since day one, I have been saying that " Eventually, I will be changing the game mechanics to make it a free-roam experience with repeatable events."
"Eventually" has arrived; TCND: EX is the sandbox version of my game.
It is not a new game with the same characters; you can consider it a new season with many game-play changes.

Rarely is a game lynched so totally. But this shit totally deserved. No sensible person will turn a functioning VN into a poorly functioning sandbox. This could make a good example of how things are not handled. Dev could have tried this shit sandbox alongside that VN, so he might have realized he had made a mistake and it would have been easy to fix the mistake by removing that sandbox from it altogether. Now, this transformation is nothing more than completely useless work and pissing on the faces of supporters when few appreciate this change.

I'm really not sure why anyone would even try this abomination after so many recent posts.
It went from a tediously slow VN that was really going nowhere after so many updates to a redone sandbox that apparently is going nowhere from the very beginning. No way I'm going to restart this stinker.

Because quite some still liked the game so far and now wanted to play a supposed update. You can see that from a lot of posts. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the developer has now restarted the game with a sandbox gameplay. A very poor one, too. That's why most are now confused/not happy/annoyed with that.

I'm not a fan of the Grim Reaper part but I get the reason for it, to have multiple paths without having them collide.
The writing is a bit amateuristic but then again, the guy admits to being an amateur and that this is his first game, so that is to be expected.

welp...was going to give this a try today and saw no old saves available. Came here to investigate and now see it's a shitty sandbox. I only kept playing this because I wanted MC to fuck the cutie girls, because the story definitely wasn't doing it for me. Well, good luck dev. Here's another one for the scrap pile for me.

Is this dev trying to copy the other one?
Anyway holding ctrl will get you far in no time, but you are right, just don't trouble your bandwidth with this.
