What most people tend to forget, is that all these sex acts have taken place over a just a few weeks, during which Anna's entire outlook on life has radically changed. It's been years for us, but only a month for her. Anna has been Andrew's girlfriend for years, so I don't think it's unrealistic for her to take a few weeks more deciding what to do.
I mean if anything that all just reinforces my point lol.
I'm pretty sure she made her decision a long long time ago somewhere in chapter 1. They've been together for years and he helped her during one of the lowest points of her life and as you said her life would likely be much worse if he hadn't helped her. Some would say he even 'saved' her. So after being together for years, in the span of a month or so she's basically unable and unwilling to have sex with him but instead has had sex with: his father, his friends, many of her co-workers, and a ton of random strangers and acquaintances she encounters through her day to day life. During this time she's lied to him constantly, mocks him, emasculates him, pretty much resents him and blames him for her current problems. Clearly there's no physical or sexual connection and whatever emotional connection they had has long gone out the window. What decision is there to even make at this point? If anything it seems likely that she was only with him due to some obligation she felt for how he helped her in the past. Now she's basically helping him with the medical issues so she can feel that they're even on that front and once he wakes up and admits to what he's done, she can use that as an excuse to end things with him while laying all the blame on him for 'betraying' her despite a lot of it happening due to her choices and without having to admit to the cheating and moving on with a 'clean conscience'.

Like I said from the start, the bf is just a Macguffin and nothing more. He exists solely to advance the plot but in and of himself is unimportant.
It seems a lot of people for some reason think I'm against the cheating aspect of the game when it's quite the opposite. I want the cheating route to be more meaningful. The cheating as it is now is flimsy and lacking any tension. The interesting part of cheating (for me at least) is the emotional conflict that is felt. The cheater, despite loving and caring for their significant other, for whatever reason (emotional, sexual, etc) can't help but cheat and it leaves them torn and guilty but they can't seem to stop. When that significant other is a capable and competent person it adds to that tension and conflict (less reason to cheat but still compelled to do so). When the significant other is a small dick loser who gets everything wrong and is unable to make her happy in all aspects of their life, does the cheating matter at all? This is clearly different then cuckold scenarios where the partner is aware of what the significant other is doing (whether they approve or not) and often humiliation is a part of the dynamic. In cheating scenarios, it's done without the knowledge/approval of their partner. Of course it also happens when one person does it maliciously as opposed to reluctantly but I think for many (me at least) it's the tension from doing something wrong with the risk of losing something extremely important to them (their lover, children, etc) that adds the necessary conflict that makes it 'hot'. As it is now there's no consequence to cheating. There's nothing to lose if she gets caught or ends things with the bf as has been the case for a long time. Maybe she'll feel slightly guilty for 10 seconds the way she does when she has sex with other people in front of him and keeps their cum inside her but that's it. It's on to the next dick. If anything, her life is likely to improve if she ends things with the bf seeing as how she's constantly frustrated and unsatisfied by him and if anything it seems like she feels she's been doing him a favor by being with him. All I'm saying is if the game allowed you to leave the bf (or didn't make him such a dud to start with) and get with Ashley or Timothy or Alfred or one of the dozen other guys she gets with, while still keeping the blackmail, underworld/Sergey, bar events, etc. aspects of the game where she still cheats and gets corrupted or has the opportunity to, it would be more interesting as then at least she's with someone who can satisfy her sexually and at least brings SOMETHING to the table as opposed to someone who she now clearly resents and who most people root against and dislike so much that he was forced into a coma by the dev.

Andrew as you say correctly, is a plot device. He's the guy she cheats on, that's his main function in the game. And he was set up to be unlikeable from the start. Getting rid of him is a problem, because then if the cheating aspect of the game is to continue, Anna has to start a relationship with one of the likely love interests, and then start cheating on them. And that's a problem, because say Sergey for instance, wouldn't put up with it, and unlike Andrew he's not stupid and he would find out about it. And that would mean she couldn't end up with Sergey, which would eliminate one of the main routes in the game.

The way the game is set up she can't get seriously involved, with anyone but Andrew, until most of the main plotlines have played themselves out. Until there's a cure for her condition, and she can choose to either have it, and therefore have a reasonable chance of resisting temptation and choose not to cheat in future. Or ignore it, and continue down the rabbit hole, to wherever that takes her, and presumedly continue being a slut.

If we do what you suggest, then there is no redemption for Anna. She carries on being a slut, and cheats on everybody she gets involved with. Now some people may want that, and will choose to play Anna that way till the end of the game. But some will want Anna to find love before the end of the game, and that's why she can't be in a position to cheat on other guys. Because that would eliminate love with some of them, before it had a chance to blossom. And that's why Andrew has to carry on as her boyfriend, for the forseeable future, because he's the custom made fallguy

The example you gave of Sergey's reaction to finding out she cheats etc is exactly the point and desired outcome. There are actual consequences involved. The internal struggle of whether it's worth the risk, what could be lost if caught, going along with being blackmailed and how far to go etc are what make the cheating dynamic interesting. I guess the easiest thing would be to just not make the bf so incompetent. Obviously he will have many flaws and reasons for her to be nudged to cheat but it shouldn't be such an easy decision to the point where literally everyone wants it because he's so useless.

At this point it's hard to imagine her not carrying on and being a slut. It's stated multiple times she 'can't go back to her old self' etc so her somehow deciding to be faithful to one person now is a bit of a stretch as she goes further and further down the rabbit hole and given how much influence so many people seem to have over her. I mean the porn star and escort parts JUST started lol.

Either way just my opinion and not expecting any changes just having discussion but still a fan of the game and enjoy it and thankful to the dev!

Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are separate.

I strongly recommend you start with Chapter 1, as it has a ton of content and of course you'll understand the story much better by the time you reach Chapter 2.

The dev made Chapter 1 in rpgm, but it was remade as a VN too (link should be in the OP). This is preference obviously but I hate rpgm so I always go for the VN. Chapter 2 is being developed in both formats at the same time. So yeah start with Chapter 1 and pick whatever format you like.
thank you so much! i was pretty confused about it.but now everything's clear.
edit: u sure are right about hating rpgm ngl

That really depends on how you've played her in the game. If you've allowed her to totally surrender to her condition and have sex with everybody. Then yes, what you're suggesting is probably correct. But if you instead chose for Anna to resist her condition, as Schmitt says that she could have done. Then it's not a foregone conclusion that she'll continue to be a slut, if her condition is cured in the future.

All her condition does is open her up to temptation and make it harder for her to say no. But she can say no, and if she says no on many occasions, then the likelihood is she'll say it even more, once she's no longer being unduly tempted by her condition.
If Anna decides she no longer wants to be a slut, and to be faithful to one person, then of course she can do that. She's always been able to do that.

Okay I'm confused. Went back several pages and couldn't find an answer.

Is the VN version not even updated like at all? It's like it is still on v0.1. The download says it is v0.8, but it just abruptly ends on your second visit to the hospital. Why does it say v0.8, when it doesn't have any of the content past v0.1?

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Or am I missing something here?

Pogo123 YO bro long time no see. I have a question for you when's the HOBO is making a return? Haven't played this game for a while. Did the HOBO hype die or something? DeepSleep AAYO give me the answer.

Also does anyone have a save file for all the scenes from Alfred's last scene? I don't know where to go after that.

Benjamin was in the last update, during a short scene at the store. His last big scene with Anna was Thursday Evening. I assume Anna will be visiting him soon, as a follow up to the scene in the store.

To be on Benjamin's route, you need to have allowed him to help Anna when she's arrested by Earl. If you made the other choice and get Officer Desmond's help instead, then you're effectively opting out of Benjamin's content.
