If you pick Yes you will see Weird Events. If you pick No you won't see Weird Events. I haven't tested the Maybe option so I'm not sure about that one.

The maybe choice gives you the choice to see it or not when it appears. Saying yes you will see it, no choice.
I understand that, but why does Stanislas take Myriam's contact details and tell her he'll be in touch when the club has another reunion? Why suggest that Myriam is joining a mystery club if she isn't? None of the weird events appear to have any connection to the Mystery Club or Stanislas, so why include that scenario at all? If the only purpose of this content, was to introduce the weird events and give us a choice whether we want to see them or not. Then it was a very peculiar way of getting there.

It was, but if you look at the weird events as naturally occurring in our world, but not something most can perceive, agreeing to join the club might be like taking the red pill in the Matrix. It opens you up to seeing and experiencing things others can't, for better or worse. Myriam's experiences so far have all been personal (unless you count the other guy in the alien abduction), but perhaps Zorlun is planning a shared experience for club members at the reunion?
A weird theory, but its the one I'm going with.
