Huh, well that's a bummer. Maybe I will revisit this game's translation over the holidays then.

So much for the expectation that this would be a Steam/Kagura release (e.g. a proper localization like the last game).
Samurai Vandalism had a crappy official MTL at launch (that was buggy as HELL) and still gets a Kagura release. Can still get one.
Didn't they 'retract' that as being put into the game by accident?
It did launch with an EN option, but a later update kicked that from the game. Likely a failed attempt that wasn't s'posed to actually be released.

I'd like to imagine that they did this to allow people access to some kind of English translation for free as long as they bought the JP game. You'll note that the translation patch thing is free.
An official Kagura release means buying the game in English, completely separately from the JP release.
Hopefully they'll get a proper Eng release at some point... I remember that this happened before. They created a watered down ENG translation for the Assassin Maid game, and later got a Kagura release for it and removed the previous version... so hopefully this is just a temporary thing.
On a different note though... I wonder if the AI translation can be used as a base for a proper translation? Anyone can basically download the patch for free, which means access to the files with the translations, which can then be theoretically edited into something coherent. Still moot without access to the JP files... but still.

Ok so I just played through the full official MTL on DLsite and I can confirm I was able to play through the whole game, got every scene, and did not encounter a single bug. As far as the MTL goes, it's about as good or bad as you expect. You'll be able to understand 90% of the plot but you're going to notice the 10% in details that aren't coming through, especially in the second half where plot twists come into play.
For anyone who wants to do their own complete run, I have a spoiler to share so you don't hit a storyline hardwall.
I'm sitting hoping for a proper translation in the future because the story does tie into their other games.

I'm fairly new to translated games, having largely played official translated games until now mostly. For some translated games, the text formatting tends get cut off for long texts. Is there a way to fix this, or something that's uncontrollable?

The translator needs to fix this when they update the text files for the game, same as fixing the usual MTL that often creates a poetry that in a Lovecraftian sense either kills your brain cells or drives you mad.
Oh. Ok. I think I get it haha. Doesn't really take away much from the enjoyment of the game for the most part

I think xellos' download is just the Japanese RAW but I may be wrong.

I Don't know if iam gonna play this or wait proper translation kagura version to realease but i know this gonna take long time
Play it now for the art and general sense of the story, come back 2-3 years later after you've forgotten the story, and play it again for the full story and uncensored art.

Nope. Updated to version 2.03 couple weeks ago. H-Sharing ain't got that version up though.
