So is that a way to get around sharing her with the guys or just how to trigger the scene?

To trigger the sharing scene, you're explicitly given the option to invite the other guys down. You can just say no and keep her to yourself.

My question was more about is the only way to lower her resistance to 10 is that scene, but as it the later scenes don't seem to care about that at all I guess it doesn't matter anyways.
No food is how you get her to do things. You have to advance the story to unlock actions that lower resistance, and 3 or 4 days of no food to get her to do them. Kinda oversight by Mitty that theres no mention usually there would be an "Im thinking of ideas" etc.
