I appreciate the thought, but I'm still not gonna do it. I really enjoy the concept and the unique direction you've taken with it, but you really should consider making the game self-contained. I'm sure as hell not opening up any kind of external connection, be it to scan a QR code or follow an external link, from a porn game, regardless of how safe anyone tells me it is. Most people are probably gonna nope out just from the URL editing, let alone being asked to go to an external website and scan the QR code.

TL;DR: Most people aren't gonna be comfortable scanning a QR code or following an external link from a porn game, so you're gonna lose a lot of players whenever they hit anything that requires any kind of external tool or link.

QR codes don't just lead to websites, QR code scanners also don't instantly open the scanned contents (if it was a link).
The QR code just contains text. I scanned it. It didn't open a webpage, didn't open a new browser tab, didn't interact with my internet connection at all.

I was fully comfortable scanning it, since I actually know what QR codes are and how they work. The only way scanning one would be a risk, is if the user is an absolute dumbass.

I was too, but I'd rather less tech literate users be wary than be blindly trusting. This one is fine, but it's fair for others to say "I don't trust this and I've seen reports of problems in the past so I just won't" and that be correct.

I don't share the opinion, but it's a good point.

You could add an in-game item, a code scanner. Maybe tie that in with the shop? It wouldn't even take much, just reflavour the text, saying that the player is purchasing the code to the item being sold, instead of the item itself. Then, instead of the QR code, you put something like the Secret codes, which the player can enter into the scanner...

You could even add another puzzle, perhaps turn it into the tutorial puzzle --- jailbreaking your scanner so you can input codes manually. Use it to guide the player to the page with Secrets.

Regardless, keeping the game self-contained and not reliant on any extra tools is a good idea in general.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those kinds of games as well, I just don't mix them with porn. A cool puzzle game you can solve and then share with friends is great, even better if you have to think outside the typical box. Just for clarity's sake, what raises a red flag for me personally is using anything directly (like an external link, QR code, or other file) from the game, into an external tool. I don't mind having to look something up, do some kind of math or basic cryptography, something that requires a converter like from decimal to hexidecimal, etc., as long as it's something I can manually do myself, without grabbing any kind of file from the game.

You might wanna take a bit to consider what your main drive for making this is. If you wanna make a cool tech-focused puzzle game, the niche porn is really gonna limit your audience. If you wanna make a porn game, requiring even basic tech knowledge is gonna limit your audience, and requiring external tools is going to limit it even more. If this is just a hobby thing for you, then I wouldn't worry about it too much though, but you may wanna put up a disclaimer in the developer notes about needing external tools if that's the direction you're gonna go.

I like the concept of your game, and I like the puzzles, but no one is gonna convince me to feed something directly from a porn game into a tool on the internet.

Whatever direction you decide to develop this in, I hope it goes well for you!

Pretty cool game so far! Interesting new idea and a fresh concept for these kinda games. Even if there's not a lot of content, but I can see the vision. Also thank god there's a walkthrough cause I wouldn't have figured out some of these puzzles myself lmao

I massively disagree with ColdLyssa - I can see the concern specific for QR codes, external URLs appearing shady, I get that part. But one of my biggest peeves is the mindset of "this isn't fitting for a porn" game when it comes to complexity. So many porn game arbitrarily limit themselves to the stupidest, simplest and most braindead gameplay possible and just land in the garbage bin of undercooked ideas.

That said, your success and reach with the game has less to do with how complex it is and everything to do with how dedicated you are with adding content and developing its ideas.

another suggestion would be having a weighted probability toward unseen art/gifs when exploring the maze. I know its random but I "feel" like I see things iv seen more than I should.

a maze diagram that reveals itself (fog of war style) as you move would be nice or even an unlabeled diagram that you have to find the exit in. having nothing is a bit annoying tbh. This will also allow you to make more complicated / rich mazes. you can even make it an upgrade to get if you want players to earn it.

another idea (sorry don't mean to be rude).

when moving thru the maze and you observe a poster/vision a "look away" button should appear. after a 1 sec grace period the longer you take to press the "look away" button the more "negative" affect it will have on you. Of course the button should spawn in a random location so the player has to search for it. (this can be done by spawning the button in a random cell of an invisible table on top of the image [im not a front end dev])

in terms of negative affects i think u should start simple with a submissiveness stat. this can have different positive and negative affects like:
pro:
- new items in shop
- access to more femsoc resources
- more hardcore images/visions
- alternative ways to get secrets (get walkthru info for example)
- transformation (if you want to take the game in that direction)
- some "activities" in the maze req a min sub score

con:
- maxing out triggers game loss
- reduces grace period on look away
- harder to get secrets and escape

let me know what you think or if you want me to flush out the ideas more.

I made sure that the statistic doesn't have negative effects but rather acts as a "courage" currency, which you can exhaust by doing things that align with The Party's teachings. The main reason for that is that I personally dislike punishing the player for engaging with the submissive side of the game. As strange as that sounds, a big reason why I'm making this game is that I want to play it myself when I'm done with it, so a lot of the design choices are straight out of my personal preferences - which includes allowing the player to completely give up on resisting The Party and indulging in all kinds of crazy shit they want, while at the same time scheming behind their backs with full force because I like being able to explore everything a game has to offer within one playthrough (and better yet, a single save file). Now, a couple of things you mentioned (like dedicated activities that require you to be "submissive enough" for example) are exactly what I'm going for with the new stat but it won't have as much depth to it.

I really respect that approach. very few games make being submissive a "good" thing. it is usually a penalty. If that is the goal the only thing I would say is to make the maze tiles static when it comes to images/visions. what i mean is when a maze is instanced that is when the images / visions you will see are determined. this way you can't cheese the currency by repeated visiting a square.

If I may chime in on the design front, if you want to do it that way, you need to introduce an element of threat coming from the party. The whole oppressive facet of FemSoc falls apart if you can follow their indoctrination and just keep being opposed to them. I do recommend therefore to introduce characters who did fall for that, and - for example - antagonists who are sissy femboy hackers who were trying to do what you are doing. It doesn't need any mechanics for corrupting player, but it serves as a thematic point to help sell the idea that FemSoc are dangerous and that their methods are working.
