After reading the last few comments, I realized I had only read half of this VN. I didn't realize there was a completely other part! Not just some flavour text differences, but actually totally different scenes.
I do have to say that they are different in tone as well.
The first path (with Ronald) was 'unfriendly' and disturbing. It also explained a lot about the world.
The second path (with Linda) was much more emotional and fun.
I think the second path was much more fun to read than the first path, but I assume the paths stay together (because the same things probably happen, but from a different perspective).

AllNatural939
Have you asked you Patreons which path they prefer? I'd be interested in a poll on that.
Yeah, that's something I'm gonna fix in the next update. The story splits in two right at the first choice you have to make, but some people still don’t know that. That was my mistake, and I only realized it not too long ago... My error was adding a small warning after one of the options was picked, without thinking that some people just won’t ever choose that path because they’re used to just clicking and not going back to check what they might’ve missed... So next time, the text will be changed to make that part super clear, and it'll show before the choice.

No, I haven’t asked anyone. The thing is, I tend to be way more active on Patreon compared to most devs. I never miss my Weekly Report, and I usually post something extra on another day too… So basically, twice a week. And I can’t really push it too much, 'cause people might feel overwhelmed and leave just because of that. So I can’t make polls just for the sake of it, and this one would be pointless anyway since no matter the result, it wouldn’t change a thing… The story’s already written. I mean, sure, there are small details I tweak from time to time, but nothing major.

The game is enjoyable mostly I just wish the MC wasn't written like a little bitch. and he could be shown as more off a man in a situation like that its very annoying.

Hi again :p

Starting today, July 4th, and running until July 25th, there’s a big sale on Itch... and I managed to sneak in. It’s my first time taking part in something like this, so we’ll see how it goes.
The Bundle is so big it had to be split in two. First up are the completely free games. You don’t have to pay anything for them, though tips are always appreciated. I’m in that section with the latest version 0.5.

It’s a collection of 34 games from 29 different developers. Here’s the page for this part of the Bundle:

The second part’s made up of both paid and free games. You get 46 games for $15. The full value is over $160, so that’s one hell of a discount.

You can find that second part of the bundle here:

Thanks!

Updated to 0.5... but the uploader missed something really important: this version is the continuation of the alternate path where the MC finds out that Linda is going to die anyway.
So Linda is on the side path only, right? Because in the main path she died in the cage. Or am I wrong?

There is no foremost and foregone path: there is a fork in the game. MC either lets the girls have their way or he protests immediately: this means he is getting other companions altogether and the whole game is changed: MC never meets the mutant psycho, he never goes to the meeting and never has the challenge to volunteer for anything, if he chooses to protest whatever the girls wanna do to him, in that fork in the game scene - which means two girls get disqualified and MC never goes to the cages and never sees who is in there, because two other people from his group are the ones to go and only males could participate, so we do not know who was in the cages there or if there was a different event alltogether..

Couldn't have said it better, thanks... and I’d better stop talking so I don’t spoil anything for folks like the guy above who have no idea what’s coming :p

Many payment processors getting paid+satiated upfront and before anybody else.
Checks out on the current climate of pulling the strings right from under your eyes.

The fork at beginning really surprised me as well after I first played through the original path, and like many others maybe preferring the alternative one more as well with less guy talk and more fun with girls.
You still have to play both paths though to learn more about characters and the world as each path tells something more than the other one.
I guess there will always be some alternative pathing going on, especially if different characters get removed from this deadly game to support multiple endings. It's still way too early for such a decisive fork as first choice before you had a chance to actually learned more about characters, including the MC, and the unknown world you are thrown in.

I love this game and its characters are very adorable and authentic. I've never seen characters with Asperger's syndrome in a NSFW game before. This alone, along with many other tiny details, makes this game unique here and is a welcome change in this jungle of games.

I don't really understand a lot of things and I hope that's intentional so that this can be uncovered later. For example, I don't understand how Sally couldn't move away from the group at all and have (no more) to live with the consequences, and on the other hand Linda just leaves without Mother making any arrangements. Maybe that happens off-screen. Maybe there's a twist. I don't know. And also Pamela or Kaoru or the others; how could they (temporarily) separate from their groups without consequences? Did I somehow miss the moment when the rules about this were made public?

Kaoru being a paradox is a delightful variety to the stories in other games. I've read that you've already finished writing the story, so there shouldn't be any inconsistencies in the future. I wish you all the best and lots of fun developing your vision and am very excited to see what you have planned to show us.

Really good questions! And I’ll answer them, but I’ll do it in spoiler mode just in case someone’s reading this and doesn’t actually wanna know...

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain it clearly here in this dubious forum. I heart you!

another thought: no fade-in during text "Game Over". along with the sample you're using this should be a shock for the player; not a distribution of pats “poor player, there there *pat*pat* Would you like to play again? *puppy eyes*”.

I also think it should be enough to say once at the beginning that you encourage the player to play through all the paths. Everything else is up to the player. If you really want the player to stay on, then there has to be an undo function with revive and stuff or a question “would you like to choose again” after the game over, as happens in a Groundhog Day game. You don't have to please everyone with this game. These are all grown-up people playing it. And if they can't handle a game over, then they're not adults and shouldn't be playing it. I think your decision is better: game over ... start all over again … period. Maybe put a death certificate issued by mother with the causes of death instead you the developer explaining (but the Gringuito explanation was nice).

For my part, I play games selecting only one path. Only rarely, when a game catches me, do I play through all paths. The reason for this is that a dark path awaits me that I don't want to experience. Only rarely, when a game grabs me, do I play through all the paths. My motivations are: unique humor that I only experience in a game over, unique humor in a dark and pure path, a message at the beginning of a game that playing all paths are necessary to understand the story, or a hunt for achievements. That should be enough for a player and is enough for me.

It is not necessary for you to write me an answer now. Your time is too precious. You have to create a world and finish telling its story. See you around.

- Linda is the most important character, after the MC obviously. I had my Patrons help with her physical design and it wasn’t for nothing... you’ll see what happens later on. Though not anytime soon... Whatever's happening/will happen/happened with Linda starts showing up around day 8 in the game, and we’re still a ways off since the next update only takes us to the beginning of day two.

- Yep, day 8... sounds like a long way off. The story had to start slow so you could get to know the main characters and a bit of their background stuff, but time will start moving faster after the first challenge, and even faster after the second week. I can’t be working on the same game for ten years.

- I don’t remember exactly when, but maybe 2 months ago I posted something on Patreon for my subscribers about a mistake I made with how I handled the path split. I put a warning after one of the two choices had already been made. That was a mistake. I should’ve added the warning (and made it way clearer) before the player had to pick either option. That’s been fixed now, and you'll see the change in the next update... lol, is here too: https://f95zone.to/threads/30-days-v0-5-allnatural.202721/post-17315377
Hopefully there won’t be any confusion this time. The player gets a heads-up that it’s important to play both routes to really understand what’s going on, and that neither of them is strictly good or bad.
Yeah, there are some minor variable changes depending on what you choose, but nothing that seriously affects anything for now, nothing irreversible. The bigger shifts, the ones that will actually determine whether the MC stays a decent guy or turns into an asshole, start on day two. And right at the beginning of that second day, both paths merge back into one.
The initial path split was really just a way to show different characters who would end up together one way or another. If you only play one route and skip the other, you’ll miss out on Linda’s story and just see her mysteriously die in a cage. Same with Megan. On one side, you get to learn about her and her strange abilities, and on the other, you don’t even see her until almost the end of day one. That’s why it’s important to play both branches. They're two sides of the same story, but some people are missing out because they think one path is the "good" one and the other is "bad", or just because they’ve got the habit of never fully playing through something.

The 0.5.5 update of "30 Days" just dropped yesterday. Here's the Changelog so you can get an idea...

30 Days, version 0.5.5 Changelog:

This is the first time BOTH ROUTES get updated at once. They both kick off right after Kaoru’s "Surprise" moment. Even though both routes converge at dawn of the second day, the dialogues are completely different almost until the end, so don’t think that just playing through one side means you’ve seen it all.

  • New words: 15,969 (for a total of 76,462).
  • New images: 1,088 (for a total of 4,802).
  • New animations: 5 (for a total of 20. There are actually more than 20, but this only counts the ones converted to video).
  • New audio files: 18, all for Mother’s new dialogues.
  • New music tracks: 4.
  • Extra gameplay: About 1 hour and 40 minutes (playing both routes). With this, the total gameplay is now around 8 to 8 and a half hours.
  • The warning for the first decision was fully reworked. It now pops up before the choice, with a new look, better visibility, and a clearer explanation about why it matters.
  • Every warning and clarification from the game’s "narrator" were treated in a similar way to what was mentioned above.
  • Small tweaks in some old dialogues, probably won’t notice them if you replay everything. I don’t even remember myself xD.
  • Added a tiny new warning at the beginning of the game because of the changes I made to the game’s distribution system.
  • Android version compressed for the first time. Instead of the usual size of the normal version (a bit over two gigabytes), it’s been reduced to 725 megabytes.

You can get it directly on Patreon by following this link:

And you can also get it on the Oppaiman platform:

Of course, there's also the option to download it for free... but not yet. Some time ago, I decided to take an extra step. The game will still be free, but people who contribute get absolute priority. So 0.5.5 won't be available for free until the next version (0.5.6) is released for my Patrons.

Sorry, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Now we don’t even have ITCH anymore. After the pressure they got over the well-known issue with payment processors (Visa/Mastercard), ITCH is useless for NSFW creators.

Just finished playing the game and I got to say I am impressed by the story so far. The story is certainly unique. It gives me squid game vibes without the harem off coarse  Excited to see what the future holds for this great game. Keep up the great work dev. (y)

Did you realize there are two different routes?... totally different. I’m saying it again ‘cause many people never notice... part of that got fixed in the new version... I hope xD

Yes I did. Had a blast playing the two different routes. Was confused at first but towards the end, I get the need for the different routes. Just goes to show the choices really shaped the game's starting paths which is a nice touch.

Oh, I just noticed a review, and since I can’t defend myself directly because F95, after like a thousand years, still hasn’t figured out a way to do it, I’ll do it here... This is the part I care about. The rest isn’t even worth mentioning ‘cause I’ve already talked about it before.

RGMedia

There’s also a half-baked subplot where people are revealed to be mutants, including the MC. It feels tacked on, like the author realized too late the story had no real backbone and tried to add “depth.” It doesn’t work.

The MC himself is the typical childish, submissive archetype, cringey and unrelatable. Random erections appear out of nowhere, which only underlines the author’s middle-school mentality when it comes to writing men.

Visuals? Generic. A few body types, sure, but nothing stands out. The girls’ outfits are just bland athletic gear, like the designer had no budget or imagination. Animations are mediocre at best, serviceable, not impressive. There’s a bit of music and sound effects, which helps slightly, but not enough to elevate things.

In the end, what could’ve been a great story-driven game is gutted by lazy writing and uninspired design. No build-up, no character development...
The whole "mutants too late" thing?... Haha, it’s been there since the very first version of the game... What did this guy want me to do?... Add something in the intro text like "Oh by the way, it’s the year 2056 and mutants exist?"
And then the same guy complains there’s no character development... Make up your mind, do you want a story with development, which means taking it slow, or did you just want me to throw the mutant thing in your face right from the start?

Not sure if you noticed, but the version you’re talking about is still the very first day in the game, after like four updates... Why do you think it's slow? Because I wanted to tell the story, set the background, let some characters have their own space to be known. And characters do change... including the MC. If you don’t see that, that’s on you. If you don’t notice that your very first choice splits the game into two completely different stories, that’s also your problem...
The funniest part of that review is the whole clothing thing. They’re all dressed to compete, they’re not going to the movies or a fancy restaurant, they’re there to compete... What do you expect to see? Regular clothes like shirts and jeans, swimsuits like they’re going to the beach, luxury lingerie, formal gowns?... Classic review from someone who doesn’t really get what he is playing.
