I guess you don't see MC and the secret agent that he is.
He is just going with the flow staying under the radar for the time being.

Hahaha, weirdly enough this Mc is a very confident guy, him letting things slide is cause he is that confidant about himself and fact he is a manipulative master schemer that will do most what is needed to achieve his goals, not cause he has no spine or does not seem to be a dominant by nature more as a sub.

It is that his goals seems not to be to hurt those around him or else he would be a truly despicable asshole and likely one of the most dangerous MC's around in games like these. I am almost surprised I do not hate this MC with how much of a manipulator he is.

Edit: He is the kind of guy that gets what he wants in the end and always seems to have a plan B and C to get where he wants to be. Just he does not shout openly, me Tarzan, me King of the Jungle. He is a real alpha, not a wannabe that has to show his muscles or be violent to proof he is one to himself or others.

to be honest I didn't like MC in the beginning either...but as the story unfolds you find out more..and he is a lot more likable..and he is pretty badass
