as you can see I'm using 4k at the moment. The main advantage of 4K is majority of head mods(ports) are especially designed for this version. With LRE is It simply looks better and has more customizable graphical options. Also you need a mid-high end PC to use LRE.

You have to run HSResolver through mod organizer, setup info can be found in tutorial provided in pg 90.

Any way to get this mod as a zipmod instead of a hardmod?

I have no idea, maybe you should ask ai9999 about this.

Extract it, compress it as zip and change(rename) extension .zip to .zipmod. You can open zipmod file with winrar so check the file order of a remaining mod first before re-compressing as a zip. This zipmod gimmick does the same thing as the Mod Organizer (except it's more annoying), Keeping the main game clean and links the mods instead of overwriting game files.
