On the upside, that's still 1-2 more than the average AI slop where everyone wears nothing but the manic grin the ai was trained to associate with "smile" 24/7.:coffee:
100% Agreed. But a lackluster model with a blank face is still a lackluster model with a blank face. If 'Gen-AI slop' is the bar, that bar is in hell...

I’ve been spending many hours of my day working on this game, and I’m not getting anything in return besides a lot of criticism and very few compliments. I don’t see any reason to keep going anymore. I want to thank everyone who played and enjoyed it, but it’s too little reward for too much effort.

I liked the game, but if you're expecting a message board to give positive or constructive feedback... you're going to constantly be disappointed. Most people just play the game and drop a like here or there without commenting. The game's above a 3 star rating which is decent for here.

I think you're being a bit hasty but, it's your project.

Oh that's sad, I really enjoyed this game, because it was actually something different and original, among a million of copy&paste Ren'Py games that re-use the same bunch of models into infinity. Or maybe a cute, curvy girl with nice feet is just my thing. Either way, it's one of my top games there.

Not sure what you expected. This odd looking model combined with lines like "I put my penis in her vagina" was not the recipe for instant success.

Your reaction is perfectly reasonable though. You did this for praise and support, you didn't receive enough praise and support, so what's the point? A few more updates wouldn't change much.

The problem is that I dedicate so much time to doing this, only to hear someone say, “This is way worse than AI.” Man, it makes you feel like a complete clown — that’s why I’m giving up. If your art is inferior to AI’s, then it’s not worth doing, because with AI there’s no effort at all — you just write a good prompt and that’s it. I think in the future we’ll have very few authentic artists, and I’ll probably not be one of them. The amount of time it takes me to make my art is absurd — it’s not worth it, it doesn’t make sense to me anymore.

The fact that hair on legs and arms was visible was a really nice touch, but it seems to have been removed. In any case, it's a really cute and original game; it would be a shame if you stopped updating it. In any case, when you release something, you'll always get a certain amount of negative reviews; obviously, you can't please everyone, so filter what you can but keep what you like.
For me, it's still a very good game.

I like it. Nothing wrong with the game, the girl is cute and there is some effort you need to put into the game. You give up too easily.

Don´t give up
The story is nice and not one of those hopless time consuming grinds
The model is pretty (but a name for her would be nice)
I like the style
Do not listen to the nay sayers... just because they are the loudest does not mean they are the most

I think you've done a good job and that this game has potential. I'd suggest you don't give up and show even the most skeptical that you have the ability to always do better. Anyway, my personal opinion is positive! Thanks anyway for what you've done so far!

The other thing you could do is look at the criticism and see where you can improve. The game is small enough that a minor rewrite wouldn't be that time consuming. Or you can forge ahead with your original vision. Either option would earn my respect at least FWIW.

Not including a dick in the renders is something I would consider an artistic choice that's gonna split the community regardless because you cant please everyone. Just look at the endless incest, NTR or MC face censoring debates going on in this forum.

I personally found it to be a very interesting puzzle game and spent several hours trying to reach the end until finally giving up and installing URM to unlock it all. Turns out I already had lol. Fun times.

The girl is sufficiently hot for me, the problem I see is the title of the game itself. If you had chosen literally any other title you would only have received a fraction of the criticism and none of the memes thrown at you. That would also have meant much less exposure though because most of the time negative criticism can be better than being ignored entirely.

Dude don't give up!! Your game is DIFFERENT from a lot of what we see around here. Thing is, the critics are way louder than the ones that like in silence. Your game isn't out of this world but god damn it has a little something different that I absolutely look for in games. Do I like everything about it? No of course, because it's about your tastes and it's impossible to satisfy everyone tastes as well. I like the art, the innocent looks, the point system / work to get her yet it's not a difficult grind at all. It makes me feel like my younger years when I was doing stuff like this in real life.

Im enjoying the art style, it's refreshingly distinct from many other games. Also the preview of the bathroom chapter gives me hope there might be some wet fetish content in the future.

Yeah, making good 3D meshes with proper rigging, animations, textures, and all that jazz? Incredibly hard. I know, I literally went to school for Game Art & Design, and my passion was 3D modeling. So when I look at your model and notice how she has only 3 facial morphs and they're all in the Botox Zone, and that comfortably earns her a summer home in the Uncanny Valley, I'm not just talking shit. If you want to improve, clearly there is room for improvement. But if you would rather focus on your storytelling and writing, you have other options besides Gen-AI. Machinima has been a thing for decades at this point, and while not everyone appreciates the stock appearance of Koikatsu or Honey Select, there is a huge base of mod support and even their stock assets are capable of oodles more expression than what your model is capable of. So yeah, your work could use some improvement, but I also have infinitely more respect for you for not just farming it out to Gen-AI. Even if you decide to quit rather than continue, I'll still respect throwing in the towel after an honest try over becoming just another soulless Gen-AI grifter.

And yes, people who use machinima are artist. It's just the artistry skews towards the photography and cinematography skillsets; rather than modeling, texture, rigging, and everything else that goes into making a functional 3D asset.

Also, you cannot get hung up on comparing your work to Gen-AI; because Gen-AI is the slop product of venture capitalist ghouls and silicon valley tech-bros who basically stole the internet, put it all into a blender, and are now expecting all of the money in the world for the privilege of giving you access to their copyright slurry. Gen-AI would be nothing without artist, and while it might be able to emulate what it has been trained on, it can't make new stuff. It operates without intelligence, comprehension, or intent; it is all just a pattern recognition tool with randomized outputs, and it will never be anything more without a fundamental shift away from probabilistic LLM's. Ask Gen-AI to make you an image of a full glass of wine. It can't do it. All of the training data the models use are skewed by adverts and people trying to look attractive with wine, and in every instance the wine glass is never full, so the training data for a 'full wine glass' just doesn't exist. You and I know what that would hypothetically look like, and we could both make art with a full glass of wine if needed; but the LLM's will never be able to do so, because the training data just doesn't exist at scale.

The people who need to worry about LLM's taking their jobs are the executive suites dipshits with do-nothing make work jobs who spend half their day reading emails and the other half at lunch. Those are the people you could replace with AI, and nothing of value would be lost.

The people who you shouldn't be listening to are the ones who say your stuff is worse than Gen-AI, because they're dipshit gooners with no eye for aesthetics and lack appreciation of artistic integrity or intent. Now, does that mean that all of the Gen-AI haters are going to heap praise on you for the simple fact of forgoing Gen-AI? No. Does doing your own work shield you from all criticism of said work? Certainly not. But one of the skills you need to cultivate as an artists who puts out work publicly, is who is worth listening to and who can you safely dismiss. Finding that balance is hard and not at all fun, because the truth of the matter is that not everyone who has something worthwhile to say will do so with the kid gloves on and worded in such a way as to not challenge your ego. It's why professional art schools constantly have whole sessions dedicated to critique, to get their students used to the reality of having all of their peers and their instructors pick apart their work for any and every flaw. Nobody is perfect, everyone has something they can improve on. Being an authentic artist isn't easy, but only you can decide if it is worth the effort.

Hey Dev, first I and I think many more people appreciate your work and dedication you put in this game. It def has an unique style which (in my view) deserves more updates & development but that is entirely up to you. I would encourage you not to be distracted by the negative comments you already received and will receive. If people do not like your game, they should not play it. If you believe in your concept, you should carry on but that is your choice.
