Story has very low key been stagnating since they shot the porno with Darryl. It's been all more of the same and the couples actual dynamic is kind of gone Nats largely a porn star with sprinkles. The moment she started fucking around with Darell without it being primarily for Ethan it falls off very quickly. Nts peaks pretty much before she gets fucked the first time and around immediately after and then there's nowhere to go but down. It's telling cuz Ethan is having his sissy maid route pretty much around the corner.
I'm not blaming anyone who is worried, and I'd be happy to see King B back on his usual track. I suppose I'm just so desensitized by the countless adult games that update maybe every six months that King B's missing a month and some change just barely registers with me.

There are other paths to play, but the primary focus was on the Darrell BBC path. But nothing really exciting after he beds her, and beds her......ad infinitum. It would have been better if Nat spread herself around with others. There was a storyline where she could have been a cam model with Jenna; the Peter path is funny and could be developed more; and varied swinger scenarios could be integrated with updates.

I'm not worried if he takes some time off for a while, either to deal with hardware/software issues or some personnel time.
I am not against some rest, even if it will be more than 3-5 months, but need to at least inform your patrons about this(((. I hope dev is in good health.

He said his system crashed. I did it a couple of time with DAZ and RenPy, DAZ is easier to fix but still time-consuming, but a complete RenPy crash could be a Game Over crisis. We will see.

understood. And if that happened I think he could let us know if he is just going to stART A NEW GAME... I am sure he has an idea on that. This one would have to end sooner or later... Kingb has a pretty good folowing ( deservingly so ). I do not see him just packing it in.
Personally, I would think RenPy would be easier to fix. I don't have any knowledge about setting up DAZ to compare, though.
For the RenPy, the blanket solution would be reinstalling your SDK and moving your project files over to it. If he lost the files, than he can just download his latest distribution release and decompile it. Still a setback, but not a catastrophic one.

The game mainly uses common stock assets modified to his needs. Once you "buy" the license to use the asset, it is easy enough to download another copy. So the base assets are still available from multiple outlets. But any custom modifications could be lost, and recreating them is an arduous task, though not impossible.

Last news was about the crash on November 3rd, what I don`t know is how come he didn't do a backup on a Nas-Server or cloud?, nowadays anybody can afford a Raid system so there is really no excuse from having to recover from a Crash.

Why do many people think that the game has reached a dead end?
Dev make renders of 2 updates in advance, so there was definitely something to tell in his story.
And if you analyze the paths in the game, can say that the paths that are only at the beginning:
Carl, Peter, Riya, Matt, Jenna.
Vance's path has not started at all.
Only Darrell's path has advanced a little.
And I think that the developer has ideas for all paths, which he has already said many times here.
Therefore, I think that the problems are only technical and not a lack of ideas.
By the way, he adds some ideas from this forum or from patrons, he listens to advice.
Just checking the thread after a while. Losing the assets and the base files is a major catastrophe because every character, every background has to be reconstructed from scratch. And King B writes a long script with numerous variables rather than splitting the game script into different labelled scripts re-doing the RenPy will also be a major headache. Add to that he has been incommunicado since 3rd of November, it's a major crisis.

It is still in development but there will be a considerable delay until there is an update as the dev needs to recreate their assets.
