Hi exazubi! That's a very good sign. It's the same when you're writing a good book: you're working on a current chapter and completely in the flow. The work inspires your imagination and creativity. And suddenly, dialogues that were planned but rather weak suddenly develop a little differently, and you have a flash of inspiration that you hadn't thought of before, or new scenes arise in your head that weren't there before. However, these scenes are so fleeting, like dreams that come to mind after waking up, that you immediately have to grab paper and capture the idea before it`s gone, until the time comes to implement it. This is exactly what happens in an author's mind when you say "the story writes itself". This often happened to J.K. Rowling, for example, when she wrote Harry Potter.
That's called creativity, and it shows that you're in the flow and on the right track. I can only encourage you to embrace it whenever it comes along. It's actually the best thing that can happen.![]()
I didn't know that's a thing, but your description is on point! Well, I'm sure as hell I'm not a J.K. Rowling
