For Let it ride. This is the big event of the last update, after completing the date with Jacky at the beach, she'll be avoiding you.
Try to track her down by going to places she'd normally be.
Early morning in her room
Early morning Breakfast
Her office in the afternoon
The bathroom in the evening
The lounge weekend mornings
When Joey shows up to collect, pay him and see her reaction to Ryan expecting a reward.

You only have to do I think four of these.
Once done, the event hint will change to ether checking on Cami or Mandy at night.
If it's Cami, just check in with her and go to bed. This is just a check to make sure she's given Ryan a BJ and then the cold shoulder in the code.
If it's Mandy you're ready for the big event. Knock on Lauren's door at night to start the next big story event.

No, there is no more public versions anymore.

I can agree with that myself as this game is a bit too grindy before any real action.
But there are a few exceptions for good sandbox games like Desert Stalker that won't grind you into boredom.
Sometimes I like to try them out for a bit to see if they are worth playing further and then find a hidden gem on occasion.
