Will had to take a break for family reasons mainly for his wife who has health issues. So Strenif may have to take over.
He is not missing, he has given up on AFV. He checks in at least twice a day. He was online roughly 2.5 hr ago. But cant seem to let anyone know anything. But he sure is okay with taking peoples money.lol. If my wife was really sick, I know I wouldnt be loggin in to a porn site to read posts. But maybe that is just me...
If he is, indeed on, often despite not even posting any where(I get if he didnt post here but made updates on his SS) then yea I would at least say maybe give the thread an [Abandoned] tag so people know what to expect.
Also, Will if you are reading these posts I would expect you to not be upset. This has been a HUGE pattern with you. We all get family troubles and what not and if that IS the case there is no sense in you going on this porn site while you have serious issues going on in real life. If it isnt an update on things then you showing up online multiple times with no updates on things looks EXTREMELY bad and I would encourage people to stop supporting you.

Is a new PoL on SS, does have new excuses. Not sure if a person can believe any of them. Is funny, once we talk about pulling money, he posts something. No matter if he tries to be a better dev now, I say it's to late, Should just let Stenif take over sooner rather than later.
A little more than a year ago, I got an ill feeling that it would come to this. When the game was free, Will was engaged with his followers. I can't remember exactly which update it was (I think it was the one where Ryan & Jacky had sex on the beach) that Will had announced that he was taking the game to a paysite. That's fine, he's entitled to if he feels it necessary. The updates were coming out like every 6 weeks to 2 months. Then I noticed the change. Will became less engaging with his followers. He had announced at one point sometime thereafter, that his wife was having health issues and the update that he was working on would be delayed. Ok, that's cool too, Do what you have to, RL before GL. What made me queasy was that we were hearing more from strenif than Will. A slight surprise since Will at the beginning had said that he was a solo act. Also, there was the announcement that Will was working on a second project simultanously to This one. All the signs of the kiss of death. Fast forward, Will's neither engaging people here nor on Discord. There's been several comments stating that he comes to the thread but does not explain what's going on. That's a Bad look.
Now on one side, I can understand not wanting to tell all of your family business but from a Real business side, it's not good practice to leave people in the dark about your work or lack thereof when so many have invested either financially or emotionally. That's just common courtesy and having someone acting as a proxy to speak For you is not very good practice either. Strenif means well but Will is the one who should be explaining any changes or stoppages of work, not him. Just look at No More Money. The dev there went AWOL. Didn't talk to anyone. No one knew if he was alive or dead. A promised update wound up being delayed nearly a year, to the point where fans were calling for it to be placed On Hold or Abandoned. It was placed on hold & then, at the Very Moment when it got the dreaded Abandoned tag, the dev Then shows up, announcing that he'd gotten married, his familial status had changed & he wasn't comfortable going on with the game because of one of the kinks, that HE created as the basis for the game, now made him uncomfortable.
Again, that's cool but he Owed his followers a heads up before making that decision and allowing the paid fans the opportunity to stay or go. When folks started leaving the paysite and expressing their displeasure of being hoodwinked, the dev had a change of heart. He then told followers that he would at least finish the rest of the game out but that he would be reducing content, limited to only the main characters and a couple of ancillary ones. Which is just as well as he had stated that the delayed updates were pretty much wrapping up the game anyhow, which is in it's final chapter.
THIS game though is nowhere Near a conclusion, which is why A Lot of people are going to be upset. I'd suggest to anyone reading this that wants to start a game, remember how You feel right now if you draw in fans of your work and you abandon them without so much as a "By your leave." When you have people invest time and/or money into your personality, you should have the Decency to keep them informed if there's going to be major changes in how they support you. Again, I find that Common Sense AIN'T so Common anymore.

For everyone this is what Will posted on SS today.
Hey guys. For once, this proof of life is actually to prove just that. I know some of you were wondering. It's also a huge apology for not communicating my situation for so long. I'm not actually sure how much I should share with you all, but you deserve an explanation for why I went dark for so long, so I'll just start typing and see what comes out.
Some of you may remember that I've shared in the past that my family is multi-cultural. My dad is Brazilian and my mom is American. My little sister also recently married a Brasileiro, who it turns out, was living here on an expired visa. Marrying an American doesn't automatically get you a green card like I once assumed. Anyways, he recently had to go back to Brazil due to some health issues with his mom, and with the American political situation being what it is, hasn't been able to come back. As you can imagine, this has been pretty hard on my sister, and needing some moral support, she came and stayed with my family for the rest of the summer since I live close-ish to our parents and have more "room" for her and her two kids (from a previous marriage) than my parents do, (and holy shit, I never thought of it before, but now that I'm typing it, this sounds like it's own plot for an incest game, or even an alternate storyline for Camille moving in with Jacky.) However, there's been absolutely nothing sexy about this situation.
So, shit's just been really hard lately. My sister's kids are younger than my kids, and absolute hell raisers. I had to turn my home office into a bedroom, which has made it almost impossible to work on AFV during my almost non-existent free time. Having them stay with us has also been really hard on my wife due to her health and mental health issues. I didn't allow them to stay against my wife's wishes or anything, but I'm ashamed I didn't tell my sister no for my wife's sake. I'm just really bad at saying no to family.
Anyways, I've just been holding on by a thread since this all started. I've had to be an unpaid therapist for my sister and my wife, I've had to try and make our home feel like everything's good and happy and safe and clean for the kids, all while working full-time and getting very little sleep.
It's just been too much for me, and everyday I've told myself, "I'll find time to work on AFV tomorrow", and "I'll let everyone know what's going on tomorrow." and when tomorrow came, it was just too much for me to put together a fucking post like the one I'm typing now, and so once again, I said to myself, "I'll have the energy to do it tomorrow".
When life is going good, or at least somewhat normal, developing AFV is a great way for me to blow off steam, and do something I really enjoy, but while I was under water, it was just one of the things I had to cut out to not go insane.
I hope I don't sound too whiney. I know many people have things way worse than I do. But I really am sorry for being neglectful, for not communicating for so long, and for allowing myself to get so burnt out.
Prospects are looking much better moving forward though. My sister went back home on Friday so her kids could go back to school. I spent the weekend putting our house back together and recovering from their visit, and I finally feel good enough to start working on AFV again. I'm sorry that the update isn't finished yet. Everything is pretty much done on the visual side of this update, but I've still got a lot of coding, and I need to finish writing most of my final script for the Armani, Sidney event that I've been working on. I'll post a few previews for that event today.
Please find it in your hearts to accept my apology! While I've never been a great communicator, those who have been following the game since the start know that I've never gone dark like that in the five plus years I've been developing AFV. This is not something I've ever pulled before, and I commit that I'll try my best to never do it again. Even if things get super complicated for me again, at the very least I'll let you know I'm still alive, and AFV still has a future.
Thanks to all of you who continued to support AFV in my absence. While I didn't deserve your support at that time, I'll admit it was extremely helpful for what we were going through. I'm really grateful to all of you, and I hope you all have a great week!
P.S. - Please don't use this post to start any political arguments! Our community is, and should stay a non-political community. I understand that many of you may have strong feelings one way or the other about immigration, and you all are entitled to your beliefs and life experiences that have shaped those beliefs. It won't pop up on the map. After the talk with Jacky, a scene will have Ryan in Taylor's reception area.
his place only appears during exact task and disapears i think you need to visit map from home>garage or something like when you go to the van. and other permanent places are shown.
