Any ideas on why these games tend to skip a "thanksgiving special".
I mean we have Halloween and "end-of-year-holiday-whatever your-religious-non-religious-beliefs-maybe specials".
Just once I'd like to see someone fuck or slaughter a turkey or am I asking too much?

I don't know which games in perticular you're talking about, but I'd like to remind you that not all games are made by Americans. So the Devs aren't going to create events for something they themselves don't celebrate. Halloween and Christmas are a lot more common and widespread
I think Halloween and Christmas are just more thematic. You've got magic and monsters, decorations and costumes.
There's a lot to work with. Thanksgiving is really just a family dinner. Not saying you couldn't do something with that, it's just not as... showy. Plus with the magic and monsters it makes a non-cannon event make more sense that it's not cannon.
That said there are lots holidays that you could make an event for that could be cannon.
New Years has the that winter vibe, booze, and mistletoe.
Valentines day has lots of romantic date potential. Even in a harem setting you can do the classic sitcom trope of trying to go on a date with two+ women with out any of them finding out about the other girls.
Then you have Mothers Day. Which has an enormous amount of options in an incest harem game imo.
But at the end of the day a developer has to be economical with what they work on. At best you might get one holiday event a year from them. So it's a small wonder they'd pick the most popular and fun holidays to do.

I know this and understand. But every society has something "similar" to thanksgiving all I was questioning was why are there are not more special events centered around them, American or otherwise. It might open people to new cultures and expand their would views.
I wouldn't care if it was some hindu chanting in a temple; sprinkle some sex, add a pinch of the local cuisine bake in some story or mythos within boom you now have a special event centered around the Parvati. Just now looking up Parvati I have learned something about another culture I had not known before.

Speaking of “tags”, why the fuck aren’t the prefixes among them? I want to be able to search for a game with incest, sleep sex, 3dcg, whatever else, and exclusively show me ren’py/vn games. I’m not too fond of most rpg porn games (I mostly play them on my phone with ren’py viewer so no .exe’s) and I sure as shit don’t want to scroll through the twenty pages of collection/video/gallery threads that show up in a tag search.

Sadly there are a lot of games that don't have the correct tags so it's not a system that works very well
